Então, isso foi o que eu assisti a milhões de anos atrás, quando ainda estava em Sp. Eu fiquei sem internet por um tempo, e depois quando voltei pra casa, ela estava uma zona, então só consegui postar agora. Como sempre, esse post contém spoilers.

Misfits

Misfits começou essa temporada em uma posição interessante. Era uma série muito bem vista pela crítica, mas que sempre teve um estilo relaxado, sem se preocupar em “ser” alguma coisa, mas que de repente, tinha algo a provar. E nem adianta tentar negar que no início da temporada a maior pergunta na sua cabeça era: será que a série sobrevive sem o Nathan? Mesmo que oficialmente ele não fosse o personagem principal, Robert Sheehan era claramente o destaque da série, e o seu personagem, amado ou odiado, certamente gerava muita discussão.

Se a série conseguiu sobreviver sem o Nathan? Pra mim, sim, a série vai muito bem, obrigada. O Rudy não é o Nathan, é claro, e mesmo que o roteiristas tenham criado outro personagem bem cômico pra preencher o vácuo, eles conseguiram fazer com que o Rudy fosee diferente o bastante, e bem interessante. Na verdade eu queria ainda mais Rudy nessa temporada, ou mais especificamente, mais “alt-Rudy”, porque toda vez que ele aparecia, eu sabia que algo engraçado, e triste, e louco iria acontecer.

Mas essa é sempre minha reclamação com Misfits, por causa das temporada britânicas curtas (e misfits teve um temporada relativamente grande, com 8 episódios), e todo o tempo gasto com personagens que geralmente acabam mortos no final do episódio, eu sempre sinto como se não tivesse passado tempo o bastante com os a gangue principal. Mas essa é uma pequena reclamação, em uma série que consegue fazer muita coisa com seus personagens, em tão pouco tempo.

Nessa temporada, por exemplo, Alisha viveu seu romance com Simon, e percebeu que não era tão legal ter um super-herói como namorado. Ela também teve que confrontar a pessoa que costumava ser , e viu o quanto ela cresceu ao longo da série. E diferente de séries piores, ela não se transformou magicamente na namorada perfeita, ou uma pessoa totalmente diferente só porque começou a namorar o Simon, ela continuou sendo safada como sempre, e não perdeu seu senso de humor.

Curtis também teve uma jornada interessante com seu novo poder, e explorou questões de sexualidade  um jeito que apenas uma série de ficção-científica poderia Em uma época onde sexualidade ainda é uma questão complexa, ou até mesmo inconfortável pra algumas pessoas, misfits conseguiu lidar com isso de uma maneira onde era impossível que o telespectador não questionasse suas próprias convicções sobre o assunto. Kelly, por outro lado, teve um dos arcos mais “normais”, e finalmente achou o amor, mas mesmo que a estória não fosse nada demais, foi muito bem executada, e fez Seth um personagem regular, algo que me fez muito, muito feliz. Já a estória do Rudy não foi tão fundo quanto eu queria, mas teve algumas partes bem engraçadas, e eu espero que ele continue com o mesmo poder na próxima temporada, para podermos explorar os dois Rudys com mais detalhes.

Simon continuou o arco da temporada passada, e eu tenho que dizer que não sei se a série foi muito feliz nesse aspecto. A sua constante necessidade de ser o super-herói pareceu meio forçada pra mim, mas talvez a antiga “intensidade” do Simon tenha sida transferida para uma nova obsessão. E claro, como a maioria das estórias sobre viagem no tempo, eu fiquei extremamente confusa sobre as especificidades de como tudo funcionava, e ainda não entendi muito bem como a próxima temporada irá funcionar. Vamos seguir duas linhas do tempo? Ou Simon e Alisha vão sair do programa? E isso fica mais complicado ainda quando eu nem sei se eu quero que eles voltem ou não. A minha mente crítica diz que eles deveriam continuar no passado. Desse jeito a morte da Alisha vai significar algo (e eu tenho que dizer que fiquei totalmente chocada e triste,  naquele momento) e ois dois terão um arco satisfatório. Mas a fã em mim só quer ver seus personagens queridos (principalmente o Simon) sobreviverem. O que vai acontecer, eu não sei, mas mal posso esperar pra descobrir.

Assisti: Episode 7 (3×07), Episode 8 (3×8)

Sherlock

Sherlock está de volta depois da sua primeira temporada maravilhosa, e se todos os episódios forem como esse, será ainda melhor. A fotografia continua espetacular, os atores têm performances maravilhosas e esse caso explorou um dos aspectos mais intrigantes do Sherlock Holmes: Ele pode amar? O que isso significa pra ele?  Irene Adler funcionou tão bem porque ela não só era sexy e muito inteligente, mas os roteiristas também não tomaram o caminho fácil de transformá-la em uma versão feminina do Sherlock e ao invés disso ela era bem mais humana, e ainda assim brilhante. Benedict Cumberbatch fez um ótimo trabalho com todas as emoções complexas que Sherlock sentiu quando amor e sexo vieram a tona, e por mais que o final tenha sido meio forçado pra mim, eu fiquei feliz que ele manteve esse tipo de conexão com alguém na vida dele.

O episódio também teve muito Mycroft, algo que sempre me deixa feliz. Eu amo como Sherlock fica ainda mais birrento quando está perto do seu irmão, porque é o que geralmente acontece na vida real. Eu acho a relação deles muito interessante, e gostaria muito de saber mais sobre a situação em que eles cresceram. A única reclamação que eu ainda tenho, é que Moriarty ainda é meio cartunesco, mas como ele não aparece muito, isso não me incomoda tanto assim.

Assisti: A Scandal In Belgravia (2×01)

Jane By Design

Eu não tenho tanto a dizer sobre essa série, mas já que era um episódio piloto eu pensei que deveria escrever pelo menos um parágrafo. ABC Family teve uma ascensão interessante nesses últimos anos, e parece ser um dos pouco canais que sabe claramente o que a sua audiência quer. Claro que, por mais que seu branding seja consistente isso não significa que todas as suas séries tem a mesma qualidade. Essa aqui não é nenhuma “A Vida Secreta de uma Adolescente Americana” mas também não é nenhuma “Greek”. é bem medíocre, mas eu provavelmente continuarei assistindo pelo menos mais alguns episódios pelo mesmo motivo que eu ainda assisto “Make It Or Break It”: o assunto tratado na série. Como eu também sonho em passar uns tempos em Parsons (mas não pra estudar Moda), eu simpatizo bastante com  a Jane, e isso é o suficiente pra mim por enquanto.

Essa aqui eu tenho assistido não só essa semana, mas praticamente toda semana dos últimos meses. Eu comecei a assistir depois que alguém comentou que o David Hornsby de “How To Be A Gentleman” (série péssima, mas eu gostava do personagem principal) o fazia lembrar de Dave Nelson, e também porque eu sempre ouvi boas coisas sobre essa série.  Mas por mais que ótimas coisas tenham sido ditas, eu não sabia nada de específico e não tinha idéia do que esperar.

E quando eu assisti o piloto confesso que fiquei meio desapontada. A série mostrava bastante a idade que tem, a claque me irritava, e os personagens pareciam exagerados demais. Mas eu gostei do Dave e da Lisa (e mais ou menos da Beth), então continuei assistindo. E estou muito feliz por ter persistido. O tom da série não é o tipo que eu prefiro, mas depois que comecei a conhecer melhor os personagens a série melhorou, e muito, pra mim, e até mesmo personagens que me irritaram no piloto, como o louquinho chefe Jimmy James, viraram favoritos depois.

E na verdade isso nem deveria me surpreender tanto, já que é o que geralmente acontece com comédias. Especialmente as que tem um humor mais caricato, já que no início você não conhece nenhuma dessas pessoas, ham… exuberantes… e mal sabe o que elas estão fazendo na sua tv (ou pc, em certos casos). Mas quando você começa a conhecê-los, com todas as suas partes estranhas, e qualidades e defeitos, eles de repente se transformam naquele amigo seu que você achava muito esquisito, mas agora não consegue imaginar sua vida sem.

So this is what I watched a million years ago when I was still in São Paulo. I was without internet for a while, and then my house was a mess, so I’m only getting to posting it now, as always, spoilers ahead.

Misfits

Misfits was in an interesting position at the start of the its third season. It was a critically acclaimed show that always had a relaxed approach to storytelling and suddenly it had something to prove. I mean, don’t even try to deny that at the start of the season the big question on your mind was: Can the show survive without Nathan? Even though he was never the “official” main character of the show, Robert Sheehan was obviously its breakout star, and his character was probably the most talked about in most discussions about the show.

So, how did the season fare in solving the Nathan problem? It my opinion, it did very well in that regard. Rudy, was off course, not Nathan, and even though I can see the writers aiming for a largely comical character to fill that portion of the show, they succeeded in making Rudy his own person, and an interesting person at that. Honestly, I would’ve loved to get even more Rudy, or more specifically more inner Rudy, because every time he appeared I knew I was in for something heart-wrenching, funny and manic, all at the same time.

But that is always my biggest complain with Misfits, because of the shortened british season (and misfits, got a big season of 8 episodes, by british standards), and all the time spent on setting up the guest characters that usually end up dead at the end of the episodes, I always feel that I didn’t got enough time with misfits themselves. But that’s a minor complaint, in a show that does a lot of character work with the little time that is given.

This season for example, Alisha got to live her romance with Simon, and saw that is wasn’t that cool to have a superhero boyfriend. She also had to deal witht her past self when Rudy confronted her, and realized just how much she had grown up, and evolved in the course of the show. And unlike lesser shows, she didn’t suddenly transformed into the perfect girlfriend, or a totally different person just because she started dating Simon, she still maintained a lot of her naughty personality traits and sense of humor.

Curtis also had a very interesting journey with his new power and explored questions of sexuality in a way that only a sci-fi could do. In these days where sexuality seems like a complex, and even uncomfortable issue for most people, Misfits was able to handle it in way that it was impossible for the viewer to not question his or hers own assumptions about the theme. Kelly on another hand, had one of the most “normal” storylines, and finally found love, but even though the story wasn’t anything new, it was very well executed, and made Seth a regular, something that I’m very happy about. Rudy’s storyline didn’t go as deep as I wanted, but he had some very funny bits, and I hope he sticks with his power next season and we get to explore both Rudies in more detail.

Simon continued his storyline from the previous season, and I have to say that I’m not sure if the show stuck the landing on this one. I felt that sometimes his need to be this super-hero felt a little forced, but maybe the previous Simon “intensity” just got relocated in a new obsession. Also, as with most time travel stories, I was confused about how everything worked throughout most of the season, and I’m still not sure how it will all play out next season. Are we gonna follow the previous timeline and the new one? Or Simon and Alisha are no longer regulars in the show? And that is further complicated by the fact that I don’t know if I want them to come back or not. My critical mind says they should stay in the previous timeline. This way Alisha’s death will have true meaning (and I have to say her death played very well with me, I was utterly shocked and sad), and the both of them will have a complete and satisfactory arc. But the fan in me just wants my loved characters (especially Simon) to live on. What will happen I don’t know, but I can’t wait to find out.

Sherlock

Sherlock is back from its amazing first season, and if this episode is anything to go by, it is even better. The cinematography continues to be stunning, the actors are giving amazing performances, and this case finally explored one of the most intriguing aspects of Sherlock Holmes: Can he love? What does that even mean for him? The character of Irene Adler worked so well for me because she was very intelligent as well as sexy, but the writers refrained from simply making her the female Sherlock, and instead she got to be a lot more human, but still very cunning. Benedict Cumberbatch did such a great job of portraying all the complex emotions Sherlock felt when the subject of love and sex was brought up, and even though the ending felt a little bit too contrived for me, I was still happy that he gets to have that connection with someone in his life.

This episode was also very Mycroft heavy, which really pleased me. I love how Sherlock gets even more bratty when he’s around his brother, something that does happen in real life. I find their relationship very interesting, and would love to know more about what kind of upbringing shaped the Holmes brothers. The only complaint I have is that I still feel that Moriarty is too cartoony, but so far he hasn’t had that much screen time, so it doesn’t bother me that much.

Jane By Design

I don’t have that many things to say about this one, but since it is a pilot I thought I should write at least a paragraph. ABC Family had an impressive rise in these past few years and it seems to be one of the few channels that clearly know what its audience wants. Now, even though it has been consistent with its branding it doesn’t mean that all their shows have the same quality. This one is no “The Secret Life Of The American Teenager” , but it’s also no “Greek”. It’s pretty mediocre and convoluted, but I’ll probably end up watching at least a few more episodes, for the same reason I’m still watching “Make It Or Break It” even though that show annoys me on almost every episode: I love the subject matter. As someone who also dreams of going to Parsons (but not to study fashion design), I can certainly relate to Jane, and that’s enough for me at the moment.

So this one I have been watching not only this week but pretty much every week for the past few months. I started watching it after someone mentioned how David Hornsby from How To Be A Gentleman (terrible show, but I sort of liked the lead performance) reminded him of Dave Nelson, and also because I had always heard good things about this show. But even tough awesome things were indeed said, I did not know many specifics about the show, and didn’t know what to expect.

When I watched the pilot I was kind of disappointed. It just looked like a very old comedy, with a very loud laugh track, and some very broad characters. But I did like Dave and Lisa (and to a certain extent Beth), so I kept watching. And I’m very glad I did. The tone of the show is not my usual thing, but after I got to know the characters, the show improved a lot for me, and even characters that I really disliked in the pilot, like crazy boss Jimmy James turned into favorites later on.

And really, I shouldn’t be so surprised by this, since this is the way comedies often go. Especially the broader ones, since in the beginning you don’t know any of those loud people and ou often wonder what the hell are hey doing on your tv (or pc, in my case). But as you get to know them, theirs quirks and flaws, qualities and defects, they suddenly turn into that friend of yours that friend of yours that you used to find really weird, but now loves. And I have to say that I really like to have the newsradio gang as my crazy cool friends.

Então, pela milionésima vez, resolvi voltar a blogar. Não sei exatamente o porque, mas eu nunca entendi a razão de eu começar a blogar a 10 anos atrás, então não espero começar a entender agora. Não sei se postarei frequentemente, com certeza eu vou tentar, mas meu histórico não é lá muito favorável nessa área, então não esperem muito (porque tenho certeza que as 0.5 pessoas que lêem esse blog, só conseguem pensar nisso, quando a Julia postará de novo?).

Claro que não vou fazer apenas um post dizendo que voltarei a postar, já que corro o risco desse ser o único post em meses, e esse blog ficaria ainda mais ridículo, então tenho no mínimo falar do que ando fazendo da vida (conteúdo é rei na internet, não se esqueçam!). No momento, estou de férias, graças a Deus, e pela primeira vez na minha vida, estou visitando São Paulo, que tem feito jus ao seu apelido de terra da garoa.

Eu tirei essa foto hoje, quando fui visitar o aquário da cidade. O passeio vale bem a pena, especialmente se você for até o dia 8 de janeiro e pegar o preço promocional de 20 reais (porque à 40 já passa a não valer taaanto a pena assim), e. Eu acho que essa foto representa bem como eu tenho me sentido nesses últimos dias: uma criancinha, totalmente encantada com o mundo a sua volta. Eu tendo a parecer meio cínica, principalmente pra quem não me conhece direito, mas a grande parte do tempo, e nos meus melhores momentos eu me sinto exatamente como essa garotinha, maravilhada com os pinguins.

Quanto à cidade em si, até agora não to achando tão diferente do Rio, apenas com mais ladeiras, um sistema público de transporte melhor, e uma quantidade considerável de orientais, fato que faz a minha irmã extremamente feliz. Eu ainda não fiz muita coisa, passei a maior parte do tempo comendo e comprando, mas tenho que dizer que sp é um ótimo lugar para comida e compras. Não vejo a hora de descobrir as muitas outras coisas que a cidade tem pra oferecer.

So, I’m back to blogging. I don’t know exactly why, but I never really fully understood my desire to blog in the first place, so I don’t expect to understand it now. I don’t know if I will blog often, I will certainly try, but I failed a lot in this before, so don’t go çreating any expectations (like someone actually expects a post from me, right?).

So, just as a quick update, right now I’m in São Paulo, and it’s my first time here. I took this photo today, when I visited the aquarium, and I think it’s a great representation of how I’ve been feeling these days: like a little kid, all over again. I tend to put on a very cynic front, even if I don’t know exactly why, but more often than not, and at my greatest hours, I feel like this little kid, marveling at the world around me.

As for the city itself, it’s not that different from Rio, but with a better public transportation system and a lot more asian descendents, which makes my sister particularly happy. So far we haven’t done a lot, other than shopping and eating, but i have to say that São Paulo is very good at shopping and eating. I can’t wait to discover what else the city has to offer!

A tão temida semana Justin Bieber finalmente chegou e fico feliz de poder dizer que não foi tão ruim quanto eu esperava. Tivemos algumas boas performances e a batalha foi impressionante!

ICONic Boyz

Acho que essa foi uma das melhores performances deles, se não foi a melhor! Claro, não chegaram nem perto das outras crews, mas eles usaram bem o seu desafio, fazendo movimentos de basquete o tempo todo. E eles conseguiram fugir um pouco do óbvio com os movimentos, usaram um pouco de humor quando Thomas jogou a bola no olho do Nick, fizeram movimentos de aquecimento, de drible, etc. Também acho que eles fizeram uma boa escolha ao não usar bolas de verdade, já que essa crew é um tanto limitada e usar props só evidenciaria esse fato ainda mais.  O grande problema continua sendo a falta de dificuldade na sua coreografia, e pra completar essa semana eles tiveram vários erros de sincronismo. O momento que eles fizeram a “enterrada” também foi meio decepcionante pra mim, não por causa do movimento, mas sim por eles levaram um século pra chegar nessa posição, o que acabou com o timing da rotina. Mas ainda acho que teremos que aguentá-los por mais algumas semanas.

I.aM.mE

Outra boa performance por I.aM.mE, mesmo tendo recebido um remix horroroso, mas não tão bom quanto semana passada.  O destaque pra mim essa semana foi a energia deles principalmente no início (e o visual da abertura foi bem legal também), mas infelizmente essa energia caiu um pouco do meio pro final. Essa semana eles também não tinham um tema específico, e por mais que eu aprecie o fato que eles tentaram deslizar de vários jeitos diferentes, nenhum deles foi de explodir cérebros. Mas pelo menos a confiança que eles mostraram semana passada estava de volta, e eu fico feliz por eles estarem crescendo nesse aspecto. Eles tiveram um momento de humor com o Moon correndo, Emilio fez um freeze totalmente inesperado, e eles até brincaram um pouco com os jurados, fazendo aquele coração e dano a rosa pra Lil Mama. No final, foram bem, mas espero que semana que vem seja INCRÍVEL!

Phunk Phenomenon

Oh Phunk,  porque você tem que começar a ser somente ok justamente na hora de ser perfeita? Não me entendam mal, eles tiveram alguns bons momentos, mas o inteiro foi menos do que a soma das partes. O primeiro problema que precisa ser tratado é que eles estão usando o Bebo demais! Sim, ele é um bboy maravilhoso e faz coisas que até Deus duvida, mas as coreografias deles estão começando a seguir uma fórmula. Fazem uns passos, param para o Bebo fazer algo surpreendente, mais alguns passos, Bebo faz outra coisa incrível e assim vai… E talvez por eles terem mencionado nas entrevistas, essa foi a primeira vez que eu notei como ele é meio ruinzinho em coreografia, e teve vários erros de sincronia essa semana. Porém, como eu disse, eles ainda tiveram bons momentos como todos os tricks que Bebo fez, a parte de stepping, e o jeito como Nikko e Trey fizeram pulos totalmente sincronizados com o ”tick, tick, tick” da música.

Instant Noodles

Eu fico triste de já ter que me despedir dessa crew, mas pelo menos eles tiveram uma participação consistente no programa e foram embora em alta, depois de sua melhor apresentação. Uma das minhas coisas favoritas no Instant Noodles é o seu humor, e a semana Bieber foi a oportunidade perfeita para palhaçadas. Eu amei a idéia das perucas, e por mais que eles não tenham feito nada totalmente novo com as cadeiras, eles fizeram várias pequenas coisas que adicionaram à performance. Eles foram muito limpos essa semana, tiveram alguns bons momentos de power (como  freeze, e os jackhammers enquanto todos os outros aplaudiam em cima das cadeiras.), usaram um pouco de locking, muita musicalidade, como sempre, e foram a crew que mais abraçou o tema Justin Bieber. A única coisa negativa que tenho a dizer é que o Mike parecia estar se escondendo ou arrumando cadeiras em uma grande parte da rotina. talvez isso seja devido a sua contusão, e eu entendo se essa for a razão, mas depois que eu notei ficou difícil de focar em qualquer outra coisa que estava acontecendo no palco. Mas graças à Deus eu só notei isso depois de assistir algumas vezes.

Street Kingdom

E logo quando eu achava que ninguém poderia ser melhor do que os IN, vem o Street Kingdom e acaba com qualquer concorrência. E com uma música do Justin Bieber! Sério, eu estava extremamente curiosa pra ver como eles iriam dançar krump com uma música dele mas nem nos meus sonhos mais lindos eu imaginei que o resultado seria tão bom. Eles finalmente acharam um jeito de usar todos os seus membros de forma mais limpa e isso fez com que fosse mais fácil pros telespectadores entenderem o quão incrível krump é.  E não só a sua coreografia de krump foi maravilhosa em geral, mas também tiveram alguns momentos de destaque como a parte onde levantaram seus punhos e acabaram com um pulo, o solo do Tight Eyes, e a “briga” no final. É quase injusto entrar numa batalha com o SK porque quando eles não fazem nenhuma grande besteira, só a sua energia e agressividade já quase fazem eles ganharam no automático. Eu só espero que sejam eles que finalmente tirem os IB do programa, porque essa é uma batalha que mal posso esperar pra ver.

Sobrevivemos a semana Bieber e já estamos no top 4! Essa temporada está passando rápido demais! Mas pelo menos parece que teremos um episódio adicional essa temporada, apesar de ninguém saber muitos detalhes ainda. E vocês, concordaram com a decisão dos jurados? Justin Bieber week is finally here and I’m glad it didn’t suck as badly as I thought it would. There were some very good performances and the battle at the end was sick! So let’s review it:

ICONic Boyz

I guess this was one of the best performance by the boyz, if not the best. Of course, it wasn’t even near the other crews, but they made great use of their challenge, doing basketball moves throughout the entire routine.  And they didn’t just go for the obvious with the moves, there was some nice humor when Thomas (SWAG!) “hit” Nick in the eye,  warm-up moves, shuffling, etc. I also think they made a very smart choice by not having actual balls in the routine, because that could’ve been a mess. The main problem here continues to be how easy their choreo is, and this week then were not even together most of the time. Their main “stunt” this week was also a let down for me, not because of the stunt itself, but because of how much time it took them to set it up, slowing things down considerably. Still, I don’t think we’re getting rid of them anytime soon.

I.aM.mE

Another solid performance by I.aM.mE, even though they got a horrible mix,  but not nearly as good as last week’s. I think the highlight of this piece for me was how hard they were hitting the moves, especially at the begging (and the opening visual was also pretty dope), but I think the energy faded a bit towards the end. Also this week they didn’t have a clear theme, and even though I appreciate the fact that they  did try to glide in a lot of different ways, I wasn’t particularly mind blown by any of them. I did feel though, that the confidence they showed last week was back, and it makes me happy they are are growing in that aspect. They got a nice bit of humor with Moon running, Emilio hit a freeze out of nowhere and they even played the judges a little bit with the heart and the rose at the end. All in all, pretty good, but I hope they go beast next week!

Phunk Phenomenon

Oh Phunk, why do you have to start being just ok right when you have to be fantastic? Don’t get me wrong, I think there were some very nice moments in this performance, but I feel that as a whole it was less than the sum of its parts. The first problem that needs to be addressed is how they overuse Bebo. Yes, he has awesome stunts, but their performances are starting to feel a bit formulaic. Do some choreo, stop for awesome Bebo moment, they a bit more choreo, then another Bebo stunt, and so it goes. And, maybe because they talked about it in the rehearsal video, it was the first time I noticed how he’s not that good at choreography, and was not together with the crew several times this week.  But like I said, there were still some highlights, like every stunt Bebo did, the stepping section and how Nikko and Trey timed their flips to the “tick, tick, tick” in the song.

Instant Noodles

It really saddens me that this crew had to go now, but I feel they had a pretty good run on the show, and they left in a high, with their best performance yet. One of my favorite things about Instant Noodles is their humor, and Bieber week was the perfect opportunity to go goofy full out. I loved the Bieber wigs, and even though they didn’t do anything incredible with the chairs, they did a lot of nice small things that added to the performance.  They were very clean this week, had some very nice power moments (like the freeze and the jackhammers), managed to sneak an unexpected bit of locking in the routine, had sick musicality, as always, and were the crew that most embraced the Bieber theme. The only negative thing I have to say is that Mike seemed to be either “hiding” behind someone or arranging the chairs for most of the routine. I don’t know if this is because of his injury, and I understand if it is, but once I noticed it was very hard to focus on anything else. Thankfully that only happened after I had watched the routine a few times.

Street Kingdom

And just when I thought no one could top IN, Street Kingdom just murders it on stage. And to a Justin Bieber song! Seriously, I was very curious to see how would they Krump to Bieber, but not even in my wildest dreams I could imagine that the result would be so astonishing. They finally figured out a way to use  every member of the group in a less messy way, and that cleared the path to show everyone how sick, and amazing and exciting krump is. And not only their general krump choreo was good, but they also had some neat wow moments, like when they lifted their fists and ended with a jump,  Tight Eyes’ solo and the “fight” segment at the end. It’s almost unfair to be in a battle with SK because as long as they don’t mess it up, their energy, aggressiveness and sharpness almost makes them win by default.  I just hope that they are the ones to finally get IB kicked out of the show, because that would be EPIC!

So, we survived Bieber week, and next week we have the top 4 already. The season goes by so fast! At least it seems that we will get an additional episode this season, even though no one knows exactly how this extra episode will work yet.  What about you guys, did you agree with the judges’ decision? Oi pessoas! Desculpem por estar postando só hoje, mas tive que viajar pro Dia das Mães e fiquei sem internet o fim de semana inteiro. Esse episódio não foi tão bom quanto o da semana passada pra mim, mas ainda foi bem legal. Eu tenho visto algumas pessoas dizendo que essa temporada tá sendo horrível e tal, mas sinceramente acho que é uma das minha favoritas até agora. Claro, o público tem votado errado praticamente toda semana, e eu não gosto do conceito de “season of the superstars”, mas o fato da temporada estar sendo boa mesmo com esses problemas, mostra a quantidade de talento que tivemos esse ano. Mas vamos à review:

Instant Noodles

A performance dessa semana tinha o potencial pra ser maravilhosa, mas faltou um pouco de energia, e a execução não foi limpa o bastante. O estranho é que eles conseguiram fazer a parte difícil, que era juntar dancehall e breaking, e fizeram isso não só no momento de seu desafio, mas durante toda a coreografia. Mas infelizmente os movimentos, apesar de bem coreografados, não foram limpos o bastante e isso acaba com a melhor das coreografias. Claro que ainda assim os taiwaneses tiveram ótimos momentos, como aquele pulo que Chuck fez, totalmente em sincronia com a música, o freeze que cinco deles fizeram, de novo, em perfeita sincronia, e a parte logo antes do desafio, onde dois deles passaram entre as pernas de outros dois, enquanto um terceiro deslizava no meio.

ICONic Boyz

Finalmente eu vejo alguma melhora nessa crew, mas ainda acho que eles tem muito no que trabalhar. A coreografia foi um pouco melhor essa semana, eles tiveram uma boa abertura com aquele pulo assistido e o Louis, como sempre, foi extremamente fofo naquela parte com o microfone. Eu queria que eles tivessem adicionado um pouco mais de dancehall na coreografia, mas talvez eles não tenham feito isso porque o pouco de dancehall que eles mostraram me pareceu um pouco fraco. Mas, como eu disse, foi bem melhor que semana passada, e se eles continuarem a melhorar talvez a gente consiga ver ao menos uma performance realmente BOA dessa crew antes do finale (sim, e acho que eles estarão no finale, por mais triste que isso me faça).

I.aM.mE

Mais uma vez, I.aM.mE mostrou a todos como se faz. Sério, é difícil dizer o que não foi um destaque nessa performance! Como na semana passada, eles não só executaram seu desafio de forma perfeita, mas foram além e fizeram do desafio o tema da coreografia. A crew finalmente mostrou toda sua (rs) malemolência (especialmente na parte em que a Chachi estava nas costas doPhilip), não esqueceram a parte visual, que é o forte deles (a abertura, onde Chachi deslizou nas costas do meninos foi simplesmente impressionante) , conseguiram contar uma estória, e foram super sexy, com suas jaquetas de batata frita e óculos escuros (rs). O Moon, em particular, fez umas caras ótimas, e a Chachi é claro, simplesmente arrasou! Queria ter tido um décimo do talento dela quando tinha 15 anos.

Street Kingdom

Claro, não foi tão bom quanto E.T. (acho que essa vai ser bem difícil de superar), mas eu gostei muito de algumas coisa que o Street Kingdom tentou fazer essa semana. Pela primeira vez eu não me senti perdida por causa da quantidade de pessoas no palco, (embora eu ainda sinta que perdi partes da coreografia por causa daquela maldita câmera), eles tentaram contar uma estória, e conseguiram integrar o krump com o dancehall. Eu ainda queria que eles fossem um pouco mais sexy, mas devido a vibe agressiva da crew acho que isso era pedir demais, e deu pra notar algumas vezes em que eles simplesmente andaram de uma formação à outra, mas pelo menos essa semna eles não se amontoaram tanto no meio, e o dueto entre Tight Eyes e Melissa foi não só uma forma inteligente de mudar a dinâmica do grupo, como também foi perfeitamente executado.

Phunk Phenomenon

First I have to say that the fact that Phunk landed in the bottom this week makes me really sad. They’ve been killing it every week, and totally didn’t deserve it. But, at the same time, I have to say that this was their worst performance so far. It was still good, don’t get me wrong, but compared to what they have done in the show, it was just not as good. The energy was not as high, and that exposed their lack of cleanness, the choreography felt unfocused and Nikko totally messed up in that part when they get down to do floorwork. But they still had some great moments, like the (very in sinc) flips at the beginning, a sick popping section, and that incredible jump/freeze Bebo did. I just hope they KILL it next week, because that is not the time to start slacking.

Primeiramente eu tenho que dizer que foi muito injusto ter Phunk Phenomenon estre os menos votados, já que eles tem sido uma das melhores crews até agora. Mas, ao mesmo tempo, também tenho que dizer que essa foi a pior performance deles no programa. Claro, ainda foi bom, mas não se compara ao que eles já fizeram. O nível de energia não estava tão alto, o que expôs a falta de limpeza dessa crew; faltou foco na coreografia, e o Nikko claramente se perdeu na parte onde eles abaixaram para fazer um pouco de floorwork. Porém, como não podia deixar de ser, ainda ticemos ótimos momentos, como os flips em sincronia no início, uma incrível demonstração de popping,m e aquele polu/freeze que o Bebo fez. Eu só espero que eles sejam PERFEITOS semana que vem, porque agora não é a hora de começar a decair. Eu quero ver Phunk e I.aM.mE na final desse ano!

787 Crew

Logo quando eu começo a gostar dos porto riquenhos, eles são mandados pra casa, é claro. Acho que vou começar a torcer pros ICONic Boyz pra ver se eles vão embora. Mas, brincadeiras sem graça a parte, por mais que eles tenham ido bem na semana passada e me enchido de esperanças, essa semana eles foram meio fraquinhos. Eu esperava que eles fossem super sexy, já que eles adoram nos lembrar que são latinos, mas por mais que eles tenham tentado, a coisa toda soou bem forçada pra mim. Além disso eles não fizeram nenhum trick muito impressionante, e a coreografia voltou a ser básica. E pra completar eles pegaram a pior música e umas roupas horrorosas. É difícil ser sexy quando parece que você está fantasiado de gari! Mas pelo menos eles foram embora de uma forma fofa, e eu espero que eles continuem juntos e crescendo como crew, porque com certeza eles tem potencial.

Semana que vem é a tão “aguardada” semana Justin Bieber, e eu temo que depois disso será impossível nos livramos dos ICONic Boyz. Mas ao mesmo tempo teremos a oportunidade única de ver alguém dançando krump em dima de uma música do Justin Bieber, o que torna o episódio imperdível! Hi guys, I’m sorry I’m posting this so late, but I had to travel for mother’s day and I didn’t have internet there. This episode was not as good as last week’s for me, but it was still pretty good. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how this season sucks, but honestly I think it has been a good season so far. Sure the public is voting wrong every week, and I don’t like the “season of superstars” concept, but the season has been good in spite of that. But that’s enough talk, let’s get to the reviews:

Instant Noodles

I think this routine had the potential to be great, but it lacked a bit of energy, and it just not clean enough. The weird thing is that they managed to do the hard (no pun intended) part, incorporating dancehall into breaking, throughout the entire performance, a really impressive feat in my opinion, but then the execution was sloppy, and that kills even the most amazing choreography. But there were still several highlights in this piece for me, like the jump that Chuck did in perfect sinc with the music, the freeze that five of them did, again in sinc, and the part just before they did their challenge, when two of them swirled around two other guys, while someone slid to the middle.

ICONic Boyz

Finally I can see some improvement with this crew, although they still have a lot to work on. The choreography was a bit better this week, they had a nice opening with that flip, and Louis was super cute, as always, with the microphone section. I wish they had incorporated more dancehall in their choreo, but maybe they didn’t because the little dancehall we did get to see felt a tad soft to me. But like I said, it was still better then the previous week, and if they continue to improve maybe we can have a great performance before the finale (because as much as it saddens me, I think they will be one of the two final crews).

I.aM.mE

Again I.aM.mE shows everybody how to kill a challenge. Seriously, what wasn’t a highlight in that performance? Not unlike past week they not only executed the challenge perfectly, but went beyond and made “the spiderman” (or woman) the theme of their routine. The crew finally unleashed their “Houston swag” (especially in the section where Chachi was in Philip‘s back, and everyone was getting down), delivered some amazing visuals (the opening with Chachi sliding in the boys’ back was fantastic) , managed to tell a story, and had an overall feeling of coolness, with the slick shades and french fries jackets, that I was so not expecting. Moon, in particular, looked very dashing, and can not say enough good things about Chachi, off course. If only I was half this talented when I was fifteen…

Street Kingdom

Sure, it was not as good as E.T. (that one will be very hard to top), but I really liked some things they did on this one. For the first time I didn’t feel overwhelmed by the number of people on stage (but I still felt like I lost choreography because of that stupid camerawork), they kind of told a story, and managed to integrate dancehall and krump pretty well. I still would’ve like more sexiness but given their aggressive vibe I think we got enough, and I could spot some clunky walking transitions, but at least this week they didn’t clump in the middle so much, and having Tight Eyes do a duet with Melissa was a pretty clever idea and was executed really well.

Just when they started growing on me, they were gone… I think I will start loving the ICONic Boyz to see if they leave earlier… But, to get serious, even though they did show improvement last week, this performance was pretty weak. I expected them to be super sexy, being from, Puerto Rico and everything, but the “sexy” parts felt forced to me, there weren’t any particularly impressive tricks, and the choreo was just uninspired. And to top it all off, they had the worst song, and horrible costumes! It is hard to look sexy in those clothes. Nevertheless, their walk off was the best so far, and I really hope they continue to grow as crew, because they have a lot of potential.

Next week is Bieber week, and I fear that after that it will be impossible to get the ICONic Boyz off the show, so I’m not looking forward to that, however, we will also get to see Street Kingdom krumping to Justin Bieber, and THAT is something worth watching. Esse é um post que provavelmente nunca será publicado, mas tava afim de escrever, so whatever… Estou aqui para falar do cansaço. Neste momento estou na minha pseudo aula de fotografia, quase dormindo sentada, porque ontem fiquei acordada até tarde por causa de um trabalho que eu já tinha levantado cedo pra fazer. E hoje, além de continuar fazendo o maldito trabalho (que ao menos o professor teve o bom senso de estender o prazo) eu ainda tenho um grupo de estudos pra ir hoje a noite. Eu te pergunto, isso é vida?

Por um lado eu entendo, faculdade é assim mesmo, aulas intermináveis e trabalhos em profusão, mas e quanto ao resto da nossa vida? E os tantos momentos que passamos (ou sou só eu?) lendo notícias inúteis, fazendo coisas que gastam nosso tempo, nos deixam cansados, sem nenhum retorno? Porque nós (ou eu, sei lá) procrastinamos tanto? Porque eu não consigo sentar e simplesmente fazer algo, sem parar pra olhar o facebook, o gmail, se alguém deixou um comentário no meu blog………

Eu as vezes me pergunto se poderia ser diferente, se eu conseguiria viver de um modo menos cansativo, mas honestamente, eu não sei como. Porque depois que nos acostumamos a sempre estar fazendo alguma coisa (por que essa tal coisa não tenha utilidade alguma), depois que passamos a viver eternamente “ocupados” o caminho parece irreversível. Como é difícil não fazer nada, dá um vazio, uma agonia, sei lá.

Ao mesmo tempo como é difícil fazer ALGO! Outro dia estava olhando meus antigos arquivos no pc e fiquei surpresa com a quantidade de templates de blogs que eu fazia quando tinha 13, 14 anos de idade. Porque hoje em dia tudo é complicado, tudo tem que ser perfeito, e até o que um dia eu já achei divertido se torna fonte de tensão? Porque tanta tensão?

Eu sei que fiz muitas perguntas, e é óbvio que me faltam as respostas, e talvez eu tenha assustado alguns com o tom mais pessoal do post mas isso aqui é o MEU blog oras, e praticamente ninguém lê isso aqui mesmo, então já passou da hora disso aqui ter a minha cara. A minha cara, exausta.

This is a post that will probably never get published (it did after all), bu I felt like writing, so whatever… I’m here to talk about fatigue. Right now I’m at my photography class, almost sleeping in my seat, because yesterday I was up till 4 in the morning, re-doing a drawing that I had woken up early to do (long story short, it was stolen). And later today, I not only have to continue to work on this drawing (at least my professor gave us an extension),  but I also have a study group to attend. I ask you, is this a proper way to live?

Yes, I get it, college is supposed to be all about never-ending classes and grueling school work, but what about the rest?  What about all those precious hours we waste (or maybe it’s just me) reading useless stuff on the web, doing things that wear us out and give us nothing is return? Why do we procrastinate so much? Why can’t I just sit and do something, without stopping to look at my facebook, my gmail or if someone has left a comment on my blog?

Sometimes I wonder if it all could be different, if I could live in a way that’s not so exhausting, but honestly I don’t think I know how. Because after we get used to the feeling of always being “busy”, of always having “something” to do, it’s really difficult to just do nothing. We feel empty, and anguished.

But at the same time it feels almost impossible to do SOMETHING! Something that matters, something important. The other day I was browsing through some old computer files and was surprised to see how many blog layouts I used to do when I was 13, 14 years old. Why these days everything has to be so complicated, so perfect? Why even things that used to be so fun to me are now so filled with tension? Why so much tension?

I know that I asked a lot of questions, and its obvious that I don’t have any answers, and maybe I freaked someone out by getting so personal here, but this is my blog after all, and barely a soul reads this thing, so I think it’s okay to show myself a little more. My real, exhausted, self.

Oi pessoas, finalmente estou de volta! Me desculpem pela falta de posts nos últimos tempos, mas a faculdade tem me deixado exausta. E também me desculpem pela falta de review semana passada, mas acabei viajando na semana santa, fiquei doente, e quando finalmente tive tempo de escrever uma review já tinha passado tanto tempo que resolvi deixar pra lá. Essa semana foi um tanto conflitante pra mim, porque apesar de uma das minhas crews favoritas ter ido embora, o episódio teve performances maravilhosas e foi o melhor da temporada até agora. Mas vamos a review:

Phunk Phenomenon

Phunk fez bonito mais uma vez! Sério, é impressionante como essa crew consegue ser MARAVILHOSA toda semana! Eu amei o jeito como eles criaram uma estória que realmente adicionou algo à coreografia, porque as vezes algumas crews tentam ir por esse caminho mas levam tanto lançando as bases da estória que a dança acaba sofrendo, mas aqui esse aspecto só serviu para deixar as coisas mais focadas, e, porque não, mais divertidas. Lil Mama disse que a energia eles estava mais baixa essa semana e inicialmente eu concordei com ela, mas depois de assistir algumas vezes eu percebi que por essa música ser mais pop-rock os movimentos tem que fluir mais, se integrar mais uns aos outros e por isso se tem essa impressão. Mas ainda assim, eu acho que eles compensaram com uma coreografia muito inteligente, principalmente quando fizeram a sua roleta.

I.aM.mE

Eu achei impressionante o que I.aM.mE conseguiu fazer com essa música! Eles receberam um tema um tanto estranho para um coreografia e de algum jeito conseguiram transformá-lo em sua melhor apresentação no programa até agora. Isso que é talento. Em vez de simplesmente cumprirem seu desafio nas coxas como algumas crews essa semana (cof..ICONic Bo… cof), eles realmente se jogaram de cabeça no desafio e incorporaram o pavão em quase todos os seus passos. Eles finalmente encontraram um jeito de utilizar melhor o palco e a Katy Perry fez com que eles mostrassem um lado mais brincalhão, algo que com certeza estava faltando. Eles também deram destaque ao popping essa semana, e com tantos poppers maravilhosos nessa crew espero que possamos ver mais disso.

787 Crew

Eu confesso que a cada semana gosto um pouco mais dessa crew. É claro que se olharmos somente a dança, eles não estão no mesmo nível do que crews como I.aM.mE, PP ou Request, mas eles são bem carismáticos e estão aprendendo a incorporar seus tricks na coreografia de maneira mais eficiente. Mas ainda assim, quando prestamos atenção, a coreografia deles é meio devagar. Eles meio que fazem um movimento, depois uma pequena pausa e depois outro movimento. A coisa não flui. Eles não realizaram o desafio tão bem quanto eu gostaria, mas o nível de dificuldade era alto, e o fato deles terem conseguido inserir seu membro machucado, Perry, mesmo ele estando em uma cadeira de rodas, compensou pelo desafio. Aliás, o cara dançou muito, mesmo estando sentado a maior parte do tempo. Isso que é vontade viu! Outro destaque, pra mim, foi aquele momento em que eles fizeram um pulo nas costas um dos outros. Não sei o porque exatamente, mas amei esse movimento.

ICONic Boyz

Honestamente estou tendo dificuldades pra pensar em algo pra dizer sobre essa crew viu, porque a coisa toda foi totalmente meh. Não foi horrível, e ele não cometeram nenhum error grave, mas a coreografia foi bem básica, e eles mal fizeram o seu desafio. E pra mim, nessa semana eles nem fofos foram, então não sei do que JC estava falando, porque eu não vi muita “performance” por parte deles não. E falando em JC, o quão hipócrita ele foi essa semana, ein? Ele é o cara que sempre enche o saco das crews por causa de coreografia e aí vem e diz justamente o contrário do que sempre disse.

Instant Noodles

Essa coreografia até teve seus momentos, mas em geral não foi das melhores. Eles cometeram alguns erros de formação, a coreografia não estava tão limpa, eles posaram demais, e por mais que eu tenha achado a parte do ballet bem engraçada, eu não entendi como que ballet foi parar no meio dessa coreografia. O destaque pra mim foi o jeito como eles realizaram seu desafio. Eu estava esperando uma explosão normal, mas o jeito que eles fizeram realmente lembrou a explosão de diversos fogos simultaneamente, o que foi bem mais interessante.

Street Kingdom

Street Kingdom finalmente mostrou do que eles são capazes, e foi na hora certa viu! Sim, krump não é um estilo facilmente coreografado, mas é sim possível, e quando funciona, é simplesmente incrível! Eu não cheguei a chorar como o D-trix, e também não acho que essa seja a melhor performance de todos os tempos, mas que foi MUITO boa, isso foi! O nível de energia deles estava batendo no teto, eles tiveram visuais ótimos, e se você prestar atenção, a coreografia deles estava cheia de pequenos momentos que se ligavam à letra da música. E quando eles fizeram a espaçonave, pra mim foi de tirar o fôlego. E quando eu pensei que não dava pra ficar melhor, eles terminam um freestyle! Será difícil pra eles superar essa apresentação, mas agora mais do que nunca estou ansiosa pra ver o que Street Kingdom tem preparado pras próximas semanas.

Request

Infelizmente Request acabou com uma música que não combina com a vibe delas, e acho que a sua coreografia e seu nível de energia sofreram por causa disso. Claro, ainda foi uma boa apresentação, mas essa não era a semana pra ser simplesmente ”bom”. A parte onde inseriam um rapzinho sobre a costa oeste foi bem legal, a coreografia delas foi muito limpa, como sempre, e eu amei o jeito como elas cumpriram seu desafio, mas o resto não foi tão impressionante…

Como eu disse, o fato de uma das melhores crews saírem tão cedo, enquanto um monte de criancinhas fazendo uma coreografia super simples continua no programa, me dá uma certa raiva, mas o que posso fazer? ABDC sempre funcionou assim, e a única coisa que podemos fazer é votar! Esse ano a votação está aberta internacionalmente, então vote! Mas lembre-se que a votação só fica aberta das 0h de as 7h de sexta, então tem que votar rápido!

E quanto a vocês? Também ficaram irritados por causa da saída de Request? Quem vocês acham que estará no bottom semana que vem? E mais importante de tudo, será que a jaqueta do Mario volta?

Hey guys, I’m back! I’m sorry for the long time between posts but college is getting crazy! And also, I’m sorry I didn’t review last week’s show, I was traveling when it aired and once I was back so many days had passed that I decided to just skip it. This week was very bittersweet to me, because even though one of my favorite crews left it was still an amazing show, the best so far in my opinion. So let’s review it:

Phunk Phenomenon

Once again Phunk delivered on the stage. I just can’t get enough of this crew! I love how they created a story to the song in a way that actually added to the choreography, because even though I love when crews try to tell a story, sometimes it takes so long to set up everything that the dance suffers but here it just made everything more focused, and fun. Lil mama said that their energy was lower this week and initially I kind of agreed with her, but now that I have watched it a few times I realized that because this is more of a pop-rock song the movements have to flow into each other even more, so they couldn’t go as hard as the previous weeks. But I think they more than made up for that with clever choreo, especially when they did their roulette wheel. It was sheer elegance in its simplicity.

I.aM.mE

I think it’s kind of amazing what I.aM.mE managed to get out of this song. They got a very weird theme to choreograph to, and somehow turned it into their best performance in the show so far. That takes real talent, people! Instead of just doing their challenge to get it out of their way, like some crews (cough…ICONic Bo.. cough), they really dived into it, and incorporated it in almost every step of their choreography. They finally figured out a way to better use the stage, and I think Katy Perry brought out their fun side, which I was really missing. We also got a lot of popping this week, and I’m hoping this trend will continue in next week’s performance.

787 Crew

I have to say, I like this crew a little bit more each week. Of course, they are not in the same level as the top crews, dance-wise, but they are very charismatic, and they are learning how to better incorporate their tricks in the choreography. But still, when you pay attention to it, their choreo is kind of slow. It’s like they do one move, there’s a little pause, and then go into the other move, it doesn’t quite flow. They didn’t do their challenge as well I hoped, but it was a pretty difficult challenge in my opinion, and the fact that they managed to integrate Perry in the choreography, even though he’s in a wheelchair made up for it. And talking about Perry, how awesome was he, right? He had more energy sitting then a lot of dancers had standing. Another highlight for me was that round jump they made in each other’s backs. I don’t know why exactly, but I kind of loved that.

ICONic Boyz

Ugh, honestly I’m having a hard time coming up with things to say about this one, because it was just meh. It was not horrible, and there weren’t any glaring mistakes but the choreography was just very standard and they barely did their challenge. And for me, this week they weren’t even cute, so I don’t get what JC was saying about performance, because I didn’t see any of that. And talking about JC, what a hypocrite, right? He was always the one grilling the crews about choreo, and now it doesn’t matter anymore? That just goes against everything he always said.

Instant Noodles

I think this one had it’s moments, and I really liked the overall feel of the piece, but the execution was a bit of a let down. There were some spacing errors, the choreography was not as clean as it could’ve been, they posed too much, and as much as I liked the ballet bit, I really don’t get why they put it there, you know? The highlight for me was their challenge, I was expecting a “normal blowup” but they did it it in a way that actually resembled multiple fireworks, and I appreciate that. They were also very funny, as usual and I can never get tired of that!

Street Kingdom

Finally, Street Kingdom showed what they are capable of, and boy do they have amazing timing, right? Yes, krump is not a style that is easily choreographed, but it can be done, and when it works, it’s just mind-blowing. No, I didn’t cry like D-trix, and I won’t say it was the best performance I have ever seen, but it was pretty dope. Their energy was just crazy high, they had some incredible visuals, and if you pay attention, the choreo was full of little moments that matched the lyrics. And then they did the spaceship, and it was just breathtaking. And when I thought it couldn’t get any better than that, they finished it off with an awesome krump freestyle. This will be a difficult performance to top, but know I’m more excited than ever to see what SK can bring to the table.

Request

Unfortunately Request got a song that really didn’t match their vibe and I think their choreography and energy level suffered because of that. Sure, it was still good, but not great, and this was not the week to be just good. The west coast bit was pretty fierce, they were very clean, as usual, and I loved the way they did their challenge, but the rest was just a bit soft..

Like I said, it’s kind of infuriating that a wonderful crew like Request has to go home this early, while a bunch of kids doing basic choreography will probably be top 4, but that’s how ABDC works and there’s nothing we can do about that other than vote. So if you really like a crew, take your time to vote for them, the voting is international this year so go to mtv’s site and vote, multiple times.

Essa semana em ABDC nós tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer a outra metade das crews dessa temporada, e o meu medo de que essa fosse a metade pior, infelizmente foi confirmado. Não estou dizendo que o episódio foi horrível, mas principalmente comparado com a semana passada, foi consistentemente sem graça. Não foi nem desastroso o suficiente pra interessante, foi só, médio… E isso é a pior coisa que você pode ser em um programa de tv.

Abertura

A abertura foi até divertida, e por eu a ter assistido alguns dias antes do episódio, até me deu esperanças de que esse episódio seria bom. Mas mesmo aqui já dá pra notar erros de sincronismo em praticamente todas as crews, e a coreografia não chega nem perto da de semana passada. Mas o que chamou a minha atenção foi que todas as crews, com a exceção de Jag6ed, tiveram um ótimo nível de energia, e isso pode salvar uma performance quando a coreografia não é tão boa.

FootworKINGz

Os FootworKINGz foram muito bem pra uma primeira semana, mostraram a todos o seu estilo, e quão rápidos podem ser. Eles também usaram muito bem o palco, e apesar de terem alguns erros de sincronismo, tanta coisa estava acontecendo que acho que só quem estava procurando pelos erros (tipo eu) conseguiu achá-los. mas o meu maior problema com essa crew não é se eles podem executar a coreografia de forma limpa, porque isso eles até são, considerando seu estilo. Não, o problema é que toda essa rapidez faz com que por mais que eles sejam ótimos no que fazem, a performance pareça um borrão sabe? Bem que eles tentaram evitar isso, começando um pouco mais devagar, mas depois que eles aceleram, eles ACELERAM, e no final você só consegue lembrar o quão rápido eles dançaram. Talvez o problema aqui seja eu, e a lerdeza do meu cérebro, mas eu me senti quase tonta quando eles acabaram de dançar. E por isso tenho dúvidas se eu não vou cansar deles depois de umas 3 semanas.

787 Crew

A 787 é uma crew de Porto Rico, é muito importante que você sabia duas coisas sobre eles: Eles são de PUERTO RICOO (imagine isso sendo dito na voz mais irritante possível) e eles sabem fazer tricks. Brincadeiras sem graça a parte, o meu problema com eles é que por eles serem trickters tão bons, eles acabam fazendo um número excessivo deles, e mal sobre espaço pra alguma coreografia. Eles disseram em uma entrevista que os tricks deles são como passos de dança, e deu até pra ver um pouco disso, como naquela parte que dois deles rolam para o lado, e o Xpression pula por cima dos outros, mas na maior parte dos tempo eles só fizeram tricks, alguns que precisavam de bastante preparação e por isso pareciam forçados. Mas o que eu gostei bastante foi a personalidade da crew enquanto dançava, eles foram um dos poucos que realmente abraçaram a música da Kesha e entraram no espírito da coisa. E não vamos nem falar dos cabelos, ok?

ICONic Boyz

Dá pra essas crianças serem mais fofas do que isso? Eu confesso que é meio difícil ser imparcial com essa crew, porque eles são fofíssimos, mas quando você olha só pra dança fica claro que o que eles fazem é uma coreografia simples, envolvida por muita, muita fofura. Não estou dizendo que eles dançam mal, eu acho que eles são ótimos dançarinos pra idade deles, mas quando você compara com adultos, ou até mesmo com outras crews infantis, eles são só ok. Mas quem os coreografou (e eu meio que duvido que foram eles que coreografaram essa apresentação) foi bem inteligente e usou muito bem o que tinha em mãos, porque tivemos alguns ótimos monetos, como quando eles fizeram gracinhas com Jersey Shore, ou quando Loius jogou beijinhos pra audiência (dá pra ver que os destaques não tiveram nada a ver com dança). Por enquanto eu estou até gostando de ver criancinhas fofas dançando, mas quando elas começaram a eliminar crews melhores acho que nível de fofura deles vai cair bem rápido!

Jag6ed

De uma certa forma a jag6ed foi tão mal quanto eu esperava, mas não pelos motivos que eu esperava. Todo mundo só falava que não tinha nada a ver uma crew de “strippers” no programa, mas acabou que pelo menos pra mim elas nem foram tão sexys assim. Mas os mastros acabaram sendo um problema porque elas não conseguiram integrá-los com o que estava acontecendo no chão, e como D-trix disse, pareciam duas pessoas falando ao mesmo tempo. Além disso, tudo que elas fizeram no chão foi bem fraco. pareciam dançarinas de contemporâneo tentando dançar hip-hop (a maior parte delas faz dança contemporânea), elas posaram bastante e tiveram erros de sincronismo bem visíveis. A única parte realmente boa foi quando estavam nos mastros, com alguns movimentos bem bonitos e criativos, mas era só elas descerem que a coreografia sem graça começava novamente, então não posso fizer que estou exatamente triste por elas terem ido embora.

Instant Noodles

Essa é um pouco difícil pra mim, porque quando olho pra aspectos que geralmente considero pra uma review de forma individual, consigo ver vários problemas: Faltou um pouco de energia, a coreografia tinha um nível baixo de dificuldade, eles posaram bastante (se bem que com essa música não fava pra fugir muito disso), tiveram erros de sincronismo, etc. Mas no final eu gostei bastante deles! E isso me surpreendeu bastante, porque não sou muito fã de b-boys, mas o que posso fazer? Esse b-boys me ganharam totalmente. Acho que o que eu realmente gostei foram as pequenas coisas, como Robert passando a perna por cima dos outros meninos, ou parte onde todos estavam no chão, dois deles de ponta cabeça. Acabou que eles foram meus favoritos da noite, apesar de provavelmente não terem sido os melhores.

No final a crew certa foi pra casa e na semana que vêm finalmente vamos ver todo mundo no mesmo episódio e ter uma idéia melhor da opinião do público. Eu espero que não tenhamos nenhuma surpresa ruim, mas quem nunca dá pra saber né! E vocês?? Acharam que Jag6ed foi a crew certa pra ir pra casa? Estão preocupados que o público não vai gostar da sua crew favorita?

This week on ABDC we get to see the other half of this season’s crews, and my fear that this was the “lower” half were confirmed, unfortunately. Not that it was horrible, but compared to the previous week it was consistently unexciting. It wasn’t even horrible enough to be entertaining, it was just kind of mediocre, which is possibly, the worst thing you can be on television. But let’s break down the boring:

Opening Number

This opening number was fun, and because I watched it a few days before the episodes it gave me false hope that the episode itself would not suck. But even here I could spot timing errors and pretty much all crews, and the choreo was nowhere near the level of the week 1 crews. The thing that really stood out for me here was the energy, everyone was going at it pretty hard, and that can really save not so great choreography. The only crew that felt a little soft to me was Jag6ed.

FootworKINGz

I think this was a great first performance, they showed everyone their style, and exactly how fast hey could be. They also used the stage very well, and even though there were some timing errors, with so much stuff going on, I think only people who were looking for them (like I was) could notice. But my main concern with this crew is not how clean they can be, because I think they are pretty clean, considering they style. No, the problem is their performance, while very good, felt a little bit one note to me. Yes they tried to avoid that, starting a bit slower, but once they got fast, they got really really fast, so at the end I could barely remember anything other than how fast they were. So maybe the problem was me and my slow brain, unable to process everything they were doing but I can only speak to how I felt. So I’m really looking forward to see if they can do anything other than lightning fast in future performances.

787 Crew

The boys from Puerto Rico are here and there are two things they really want you to know: They are from PUERTO RICO (said in the most annoying voice possible), and they can do tricks! And tricks they did, an insane amount of them, but I’m really worried that’s all they can do. They said in an interview that “their tricks are like a dance step” and I could see some of that in this routine, like in tat part, when two guys were rolling to one side and Xpression was jumping over the others, but mostly it just felt like tricks, some of which required a lot of setup, so we could see them coming from a mile away. But the thing I really liked was their attitude, I think they were really into the Kesha thing, being all sexy and stuff, lol. And let’s not even talk about the hair, ok?

ICONic Boyz

Can these kids be any cuter? I have to say, it’s really hard for me to fairly judge this crew, because they are so adorable, but when you look at the dancing, it’s pretty simple choreography, enveloped in a package of cuteness. I’m not saying they are bad dancers, I think they are pretty good, for their age, but when you compare it to adult crews, or even to some other kid crews, they are just ok. But whoever choreographed this routine (and I kind of doubt it was them) was very clever, because it had some good moments, like “The Situation” bit and Louis blowing kisses to the audience (you can notice that the highlights had nothing to do with their dancing). So for a first episode it was all fun and cute, but when better crews start getting eliminated because of them, I’m sure I won’t think they are that adorable.

Jag6ed

That was kind of a fail, right? And not even for the reasons I thought it would be. For all the talk about pole dancing being erotic and stuff, I didn’t think this performance was that erotic, and certainly not the most sexy thing we’ve seen in this show. But the poles did turn out to be a crutch, because it was hard to incorporate what the girls were doing on the poles, with what was happening on the floor, so like D-trix said, it felt like two people were trying to talk at once. Besides that, their floor work was really weak, they looked like contemporary dancers trying to do hip-hop (and most of them are contemporary dancers), they did a lot of posing, and there were very visible timing errors throughout the entire performance. The only time they really shined was when they were up on the poles, delivering some great visuals, but as soon as they were on the floor, it was back to bland choreo, so I’m glad they were the ones leaving.

Instant Noodles

This one is kind of tough for me because when I look at individual thing that I usually consider when reviewing a routine, like: “where they clean?”, “how difficult was their choreography?”, “How was their energy?”, etc, I can see a lot of things that didn’t work with this one. Yes, their energy was a bit on the low side, their choreo wasn’t very difficult, there was lot of posing (although I don’t know if I can fault them for that, given the song), timing errors, etc. But in the end I really liked them! And I’m totally surprised by that felling, because b-boying is not one of my favorite styles, but what can I say? This ones totally won me over. I guess it was the little things like Robert going over the guys with his leg, and their floor section, but they ended up being my favorite of the night, even though I know they probably aren’t the best dancers.

So in the end, the right crew went home, and next week we’re finally going to see everyone in the same episode and discover what the audience is thinking about the crews this season. I hope we don’t get any bad surprises, but who knows? The public can be crazy sometimes! What about you? Did you think Jag6ed was the right crew to sent home? Como a maioria dos meus amigos sabe, eu sou super fã do Arctic Monkeys, então não é surpresa nenhuma que quando eu soube que o Alex estava fazendo a trilha sonora pra um filme inglês eu fiquei toda felizinha. O EP da trilha sonora já até saiu faz um tempinho, mas ando ouvindo tanto que decidi fazer uma review dele aqui no blog mesmo assim. Eu ainda não assisti o filme porque não entrou em cartaz aqui no Brasil ainda (se é que vai entrar um dia), então fico em uma situação meio estranha, fazendo review de uma trilha sonora , sem ter visto o filme. Mas o Alex mesmo disse em uma entrevista que compôs as músicas pensando no clima do filme, na história e tal, e não pra cenas específicas, e acho que esse é um dos motivos que faz com que esse ep funcione tão bem, independente do filme.

Eu não sei se vocês conhecem a música dos Monkeys, mas quando eles começaram, seu som era distintamente britânico, e suas letras eram inteligentes observações sobre a banalidade da vida em uma pequena cidade da Inglaterra, porém mais tarde os garotos de Sheffield transformaram seu som em algo bem mais pesado, sombrio e alguns diriam, americanizado. Vários fãs, como eu, não ficaram muito felizes com as mudanças. Não me levem a mal, não é que eu não goste do novo Arctic Monkeys, o problema é que eu amava o antigo.

Mas tenho que admitir que esse EP me surpreendeu positivamente, porque Alex não só retornou às suas raízes britânicas, também voltou a utilizar um estilo mais lírico em suas letras, dando mais ênfase à história de cada canção, algo que ele fez em quase todas as músicas do primeiro cd dos Monkeys, mas que vem se tornando cada vez mais raro em suas composições. Outro fato importante é a voz de Alex, que nunca soou tão bem quanto nesse EP. Uma voz tão doce, tão calma e ao mesmo tempo tão sedutora que é difícil resistir a tentação de simplesmente fechar os olhos e…

Também estou curiosa pra saber como será a experiência de assistir um filme quando eu já conhece a trilha sonora tão bem. Eu espero que não seja estranho e não estrague o filme pra mim, já que até agora todas as reviews tem sido positivas. E todo mundo sabe que eu não resisto a uma história de amor britânica!

As most of my friends know, I’m a huge Arctic Monkeys fan, so it’s no surprise that when I heard Alex was doing a soundtrack for a British movie, I was thrilled! This EP has been out for some time now, but I’ve been listening to it so much lately that I thought it would be nice to give it a quick review here on the blog. I have not watched the movie, because it’s not out here in Brazil yet, so it’s kind of an odd thing because I’m reviewing a soundtrack without knowing how it works in the movie. But Alex said in an interview that when he was composing , he was focusing more on the overall mood of the film, and not on specific scenes, and I think that’s part of the reason this EP works so well on its own.

Now, I don’t know if you’re familiar with Arctic Monkeys, but they started out as very British sounding band, with songs about everyday life in a small town, but later evolved to a quite heavier, and some would say, more americanized type of music. Many fans, including myself, were not very happy with the change. It’s not that I don’t like the new Arctic Monkeys, it’s just that I LOVE the old one.

But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with this EP, because here Alex not only returned to his British roots, but also returned to the story-drive style of songwriting that he used in almost all the songs of Arctic Monkeys’ first album, and that became more and more rare in the subsequent ones. Alex’s voice is also probably at its best in this EP, so sweet, easy, and seductive that’s it’s hard to resist the temptation to just close your eyes and swoon…

I’m also curious to see how it will be like to watch a movie when I have already heard the soundtrack. I hope it doesn’t take anything away from the experience, because the movie has been getting great reviews, and it looks just like the kind of thing I like. But while I wait, let me swoon a little bit more…

Nossa, faz séculos que não posto aqui! A faculdade voltou, então não tenho tido tanto tempo quanto gostaria, mas nada como um reality show de dança pra me fazer voltar a postar né? Na verdade, há algum tempo atrás eu nem ligava pro ABDC, provavelmente porque na primeira vez que assisti foi na 4ª temporada, que não foi das melhores. Então acabei assistindo uns dois episódios e depois perdi o interesse. Mas na 5ª temporada eu soube que um dos meus dançarinos favoritos do sytycd, Vincent, iria competir, então resolvi dar uma segunda chance ao programa, e tenho que dizer que dessa vez fiquei bem impressionada.

Já nessa temporada eu fui ainda mais fundo, porque há alguns meses atrás eu soube que a I.aM.mE iria tentar no programa, então comecei a acompanhar a pré temporada no Blogging America’s Best Dance Crew, e lá eu li rumores, assisti zilhões de vídeos de outras crews que também foram as audições, assisti episódios de temporadas passadas, e basicamente consegui fazer com que as minhas expectativas pra essa temporada fossem as maiores possíveis, o que provavelmente não é algo muito bom, mas pelo menos, me diverti.

Eu não sei se todos sabem, mas os episódios sempre são disponibilizados no site da MTV no dia seguinte a exibição nos EUA, e por um milagre, não é bloqueado pra brasileiros. Então se você ainda não viu o episódio pode passar lá, ou ver nos vídeos do youtube aí embaixo. Além disso, nós também podemos votar! Depois que acaba o programa lá a votação é aberta no site, mas tem que ser rápido, porque logo de manhã eles já encerram. Mas vamos a review.

Abertura

Essa foi provavelmente uma das melhores coreografias de grupo já dançadas no ABDC, todas as crews estavam pegando fogo! I.aM.mE abriu o show com visuais maravilhosos e movimentos complexos, Eclectic Gentleman impressionaram com a sua musicalidade, as meninas do Request foram sexys e ferozes, Phunk Phenomenon trouxe seu estilo energético e Street Kingdom teve uma ótima entrada, mas não deu pra ver muito mais deles por causa da estranha movimentação escolhida pras câmeras.

I.aM.mE

Quando eu os assisti pela primeira vez, confesso que não gostei tanto quanto esperava. Talvez porque eu já tivesse visto grande parte dos movimentos (eles postaram um vídeo com a coreografia das audições, e como sempre acontece grande parte dos movimentos vem dali), ou talvez porque eu estivesse com expectativas demais, depois de tanta espera. Mas cada vez que eu os assisto dançando, gosto mais dessa coreografia, Como eles disseram no vídeo de apresentação, objetivo deles é fazer com que as pessoas tenham que assistir suas coreografias várias vezes, até conseguir ver, tudo que estão fazendo no palco, e é realmente verdade. Mas como o JC disse, eles precisam usar melhor o espaço, e mais importante ainda, aumentar a intensidade com que dançam. Essa semana eles tiveram uma música meio lenta, então foi complicado fazer isso, mas eles deviam prestar atenção nisso pra 3ª semana.

Phunk Phenomenon

Eu não conhecia essa crew muito bem, mas eles conseguiram fazer uma ÓTIMA primeira impressão. Eles têm uma energia impressionante, são muito rápidos, mas ainda assim tem uma certa malemolência (rs), que os torna muito interessantes. Eles mostraram que é possível ter uma coreografia rápida e ainda assim executá-la de forma limpa, algo que poucas crews conseguem. Além disso, eles também fizeram o melhor uso de expressões faciais do episódio, e talvez muitos achem que isso é uma coisa muito pequena, mas são esses detalhes que separam uma boa performance de uma simplesmente maravilhosa.

Request

Eu até gostei dessa coreografia, mas a música não ajudou e acho que com isso elas perderam dinamismo. Mas, como eu disso, isso é culpa da música, e elas fizeram o melhor que podiam nessa situação. Elas usaram muito bem o palco, mostram ao público seu estilo poly-swag, e atingiram seu objetivo, causa uma boa 1ª impressão. Eu só espero que elas não acabem entre as menos votadas toda semana, como a Blueprint, só porque não são americanas.

Eclectic Gentlemen

Eu acho que um dos problemas com esse grupo já está no nome, eles são ecléticos demais. Fica claro que individualmente, todos são muito talentosos e tem diferentes estilos, mas não consigo ver nada que os una, que crie uma identidade. Me desculpe, mas vestir uma gravata borboleta não é suficiente pra criar uma identidade. Eles também dizem que seu estilo é o hip hop lírico, e eu posso até estar enganada, mas quando penso em hip hop lírico, me vem a cabeça algo parecido com a coreografia de NappyTabs, algo mais suave, geralmente usando uma “historinha”, tem influências de jazz, etc. A única dessas coisas que eu vi foi a tentativa de criar uma história, e nem nisso eles foram bem sucedidos. Mas mesmo com tudo isso, acho que eles tiveram uma boa apresentação, apenas tiveram a má sorte de cair em um grupo com tantas crews fortes.

Street Kingdom

Os criadores do Krump finalmente chegaram ao ABDC, e é difícil por em palavras o quanto isso me deixa feliz. Eu amo Krump e sempre quero ver mais desse estilo, mas estou preocupada que talvez o palco do ABDC não seja o melhor lugar pra isso. Porque pra mim, a melhor parte da dança deles foi quando o Tight Eyes foi pra borda do palco e começou um freestyle, enquanto todo mundo enlouquecia ao redor dele. Isso pra mim, foi demais, mas se eles fizerem isso toda semana os jurados não ficarão muito felizes. O outro fator contra o Street Kingdom são os malditos câmeras da MTV. Sério gente, eles botaram na cabeça que a câmera não pode ficar parada mais de 3 segundos e não importa o que os dançarinos estão fazendo, a câmera não pode parar! Por causa disso tenho certeza que perdi no mínimo 30% da coreografia deles. Claro que esse problema afeta todos os grupos, mas ele fica ainda mais evidente quando você tem 10 pessoas no palco, dançando um estilo que já é meio caótico. Mas como eu disse, eu amo Krump, e espero que eles continuem na competição, apesar dos pesares.

Apesar de estar meio triste pela eliminação dos Eclectic Gentlemen, esse episódio foi um dos melhores que já vi e as crews da semana que vem vão ter que ralar muito pra chegar nesse nível. Mas quem sabe, semana que vem temos um grupo de pole dancers e uma crew mirim no mesmo episódio, então qualquer coisa pode acontecer. E vocês, o que acharam do episódio? Concordaram com a eliminação da noite? Você teve mais medo do Tight Eyes ou das meninas do Request com a sua dança Haka? Os jurados terão coragem de partir o coração de criancinhas se elas forem horríveis?

So, long time no see, right? Life has been a bit crazy since I came back to college, but there’s nothing like a dance show to make me want to blog again, so here am I! I have to say that I used to look down on ABDC, probably because the first time I watched was in season 4, not the best of seasons. I remember watching a couple of episodes that left me totally unimpressed, so I kind of forgot about it. Then on season 5, I heard that one of my favorite SYTYCD dancers, Vincent, was auditioning with Blueprint crew, so I decided to give it another shot. And I have to say the experience was much better the second time around!
This season I went deeper, because when I heard I.Am.Me was auditioning I started following the pre-season at Blogging America’s Best Dance Crew, and there I followed rumors, watched videos for a zillion crews that auditioned, watched episodes from previous seasons, and basically managed to get my expectations at a very high level for this season, which I’m not very sure it’s a good thing, but at least, it was fun! And after a VERY long wait, the first episode is finally here, so let’s review it:

Opening Number

This was probably one of the best group numbers in ABDC history, every crew was just on fire! I.aM.mE opened with great visuals, and intricate moves, Eclectic Gentlemen were super smooth, Request was fierce, as usual, Phunk Phenomenon was very energetic and Street Kingdom had an awesome opening, but the camera angles mtv used didn’t let us see a lot more than that.

I.aM.mE

I have to say that when I watched this for the first time I didn’t love it. Maybe because I had seen most of it (they posted their audition video online, and used a lot of the moves from that), or because I just had insanely high expectations for them. But the more I watch it, the more I love it. Like they said in their presentation video, their stuff is really made for repeat viewings, because of the intricacy they bring to the table. But like JC said I really thing they need to use the stage more, and most important, increase the energy level. This week they had a slow song, so that was difficult, but they should work on that for week 3.

Phunk Phenomenon

I didn’t know a lot about this crew going in, but they totally blew my mind. They had amazing energy, very fast paced choreo, and a lot of swag. Phunk showed that a crew can be high energy and fast and not look sloppy, something I really appreciate. They also know how to perform with their whole body, including their faces, and that may seem like a small thing for most people, but these small touches are the difference between a good performance and a great one. I don’t know if this crew has much of a fanbase, but I really hope they stick around till the end.

Request

I liked this routine, but the song really did not help, and I think it was the reason why the performance was one note. But like I said, I think the song was the one at fault here, not the choreography, and the girls did the best they could. They used the stage very well, showed the public what their thing is, and in my opinion, made a very good first impression. I just hope they don’t suffer, like Blueprint did, just because they aren’t an American crew.

Eclectic Gentlemen

I think one of the problems with this crew, is the “eclectic” part of their name. It is clear that their members are very talented, and have different styles, but I don’t see anything that unites them, I can’t figure out their identities. It seems that they try to push the whole “bowties” thing pretty hard, and I’m sorry, but the clothes you wear, while part of your identity, are not enough on their own. They also say that they do “lyrical hip hop” and I could be wrong on this, but I always associated that term with something like NappyTabs choreo, not so hard hitting, usually has a story for each song, sometimes you can see a jazz influence, and the only thing I could see in Eclectic Gentlemen’s choreo was an attempt to tell a story, and it was badly executed.. All that said, I think their number was good, but failed to make an impression, and in an episode with so many amazing crews, they were the only ones that I could see leaving.

Street Kingdom

The Krump creators are finally on ABDC, and I can’t tell you enough, how happy that makes me. I love krump, and I always want to see more of it, but I’m worried that ABDC might not be place for that. Because see, the favorite part of their performance for me, was when Tight Eyes was in the center, pretty much just free-styling and everyone was just going crazy around him. That for me, is totally awesome, but if they do it every week, the judges are not going to be happy. The other thing Street Kingdom has going against them, is the god-awful camera angles Mtv has the courage to display every week. Seriously! They have put in their minds that the camera has to be moving all the time, no matter what the dancers are doing, and because of that I could see at least 30% of Street Kingdom’s choreo. Of course, this problem affects every crew, but is magnified when you have 10 people on the stage, and you dance a style of hip hop, that is already kind of chaotic. But like I said, I do love Krump, and I want to see it on tv, I just hope that they find a way to make krump look amazing, despite all of that.

So that’s it for the review, like I said before, it was a great show, and I think the crews performing next week will have a hard time topping this one. But who knows, they did managed to get pole dancers and kids dancing on the same night, so it’s impossible to know what’s expecting us! And what did you think of the episode? Oi pessoas, como vocês estão? Não tenho postado muito porque, praticamente só tenho ido a praia, então não tem muito o que dizer. Aliás, esse é um problema recorrente comigo, então decidi que  vou fazer algumas “colunas” fixas aqui no blog, assim fica mais fácil de manter a regularidade dos posts.  Nas sextas, como hoje, farei um posts sobre os filmes que tenho assistido, e na segunda sobre o ando assistindo na tv. Claro que isso não exclui a possibilidade de rolar um ou outro post individual sobre um filme ou uma série específica, mas desse jeito eu crio o hábito de postar sobre esses assuntos mais regularmente. O de sexta, como vocês podem ver, to começando hoje, mas o de segunda eu vou pular essa semana porque tenho assistido séries de um jeito muito irregular e to atrasada com um monte de coisa. preciso dar uma organizada.

Esses posts também vão servir de incentivo pra eu completar dois projetos pessoais meus pra esse ano. O primeiro é assistir todos os filmes que a minha amiga Lili me recomendou. No início do ano trocamos uma lista dos nossos filmes favoritos e prometemos que assistiríamos um por semana. Eu pretendo cumprir a promessa, só quero ver se ela também vai.

Meu outro projeto é assistir todos os filmes que eu tenho aqui e que acabaram se acumulando, porque eu nunca arranjava tempo para assistí-los. A Lista é meio grande, mas se tudo der certo eu consigo terminar esse ano, também assistindo pelo menos um por semana. Tudo bem que no filme dessa semana, Mary and Max, eu roubei um pouquinho, porque o filme estava nas duas listas.

Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain

Eu ouvi tantas pessoas falarem bem desse filme através dos anos que acabei criando umas expectativas bem impossíveis de serem atingidas. E talvez essa seja a razão de eu ter gostado, muito, muito, muito do filme, mas não ter amado. Eu odeio quando hype arruína as coisas pra mim, ainda mais algo tão bonito quanto esse filme, mas tenho uma certa dificuldade em controlar as minhas expectativas. Mas embora o filme não tenha me tocado, particularmente, eu ainda o achei incrível. A fotografia é perfeita, os personagens são engraçados e únicos, e o tom do filme é contagiante.

Le Couperet (O Corte)

O filme conta a história de um homem que perde seu emprego e depois de passar dois anos e meio desempregado resolve começar a eliminar a concorrência, literalmente. A premissa é interessante, mas a execução falhou um pouco pra mim. Os personagens do filme são excessivamente desconfiados e os métodos que ele usa pra acabar com cada candidato não são muito convincentes. Vale mais pelas interpretações, que são muito boas.

127 Hours

Um filme maravilhoso, que com certeza mereceu as 6 indicações que recebeu no Oscar desse ano. A essa altura acho que todo mundo já sabe que esse filme trata da história de uma alpinista que acabou preso, em um canyon, com seu braço debaixo de uma pedra, durante 127 horas.  O filme se passa praticamente em um só lugar, e com apenas um ator e mesmo assim nunca se torna chato, ao contrário, o filme é eletrizante. James Franco tem seu maior papel até hoje, comandando a atenção em todos os momentos e se mostrando triste, resignado, engraçado, exausto, e insano sem nenhuma dificuldade. Nem preciso dizer que o Danny Boyle deu um show mais uma vez, e conseguiu sugar cada plano que aquelas pedras tinham a oferecer. Eu também gostei muito da trilha sonora de A.R. Rahman, que apesar de ser bem diferente da trilha dele pra Quem Quer Ser Um Milionário, é tão boa quanto.

Love And Other Drugs (Amor e outras Drogas)

Eu já falei o suficiente sobre esse filme e o quanto ele falou comigo então é mais fácil vocês irem ler a minha  review.

Let Me In (Deixe-me Entrar)

Eu fui ver esse filme achando que era algo totalmente diferente e talvez por isso não o tenha aproveitado tanto quanto devia. Eu estava esperando um daqueles filmes de terror com coisas pulando na tela e tentando te assustar a cada minuto, e Let Me In é um tipo de terror totalmente diferente. A coisa mais estranha é que eu geralmente prefiro esse tipo de terror mais calmo e psicológico, mas justo no dia tava no clima pra um filme que te faz pular de susto toda hora. Mas deixando isso lado, esse remake do filme sueco Let The Right One In, é muito bom e retrata a estranha relação de um garoto e uma “coisa” de uma forma ao mesmo tempo muito bonita, e assustadora. Tanto a Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) quanto o Kodi Smit-McPhee são atores infantis muito bons e carregam o filme sem nenhum esforço. Eu recomendo muito esse filme pra quem gosta de um terror mais indie. Atualmente em cartaz no Brasil.

Mary And Max

Um filme incrível e incrivelmente triste sobre um homem de meia idade com Asperger e uma menininha solitária que se tornam amigos por correspondência e juntos descobrem o mundo, do seu jeito bem particular. O filme trata de forma estupenda assuntos como infância, sexualidade, amor, doenças mentais, e acima de tudo, amizade, em todas as suas formas e tamanhos. O filme não é bonito de um jeito clássico, mas acha a beleza nas coisas e pessoas que ninguém quer ter em volta. Nas coisas de que tentamos fugir e que tentamos enterrar tão fundo a ponto de esquecermos que um dia existiram. Talvez esse filme não fale tanto contigo se você teve a infância perfeita, se você nunca foi vítima de Bulling na escola e se você nunca sonhou com amigos imaginários, mas eu acho que é um filme obrigatório pra todos os “excluídos”.

Hi guys, how are you doing? It’s been a little bit low on posts around here because I’ve mostly been going to the beach, like, a lot, so there’s not much to tell, but I’ve decided that I need some fixed posts to help me keep this blog going regularly, so I decided to do a weekly post about the movies I’ve been watching, and another one about tv. I’ll post the movie column every friday and the tv one every Monday. Of course that does not exclude the possibility of me doing a full post on a single movie or tv show, but this way I get to keep track of everything I’ll watch this year, and my fresh opinions on each one. The Friday one is starting today, but I’m going to skip this Monday because right know my tv viewing is kind of a mess. I need to organize myself a little better if I”m really gonna do this.

I’m also trying to accomplish two personal projects with this. The first one is to watch every movie my friend Lili recommended me. At the beginning of the year we swapped lists of our favourite movies and promised each other we would watch them all, one per week. I plan on keeping the promise, let’s see if she does the same!

My other project is to watch a bunch of movies I have acquired in the last few years, but ended up never watching. The List is kind of big, but I’m hoping to finish it this year too, also one per week, at least.  This week the movie I chose, Mary and Max,  is kind of a cheat, because it was on both lists.

Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain

I’ve heard so many people talk about this movie throughout the years that I had some pretty impossible expectations, and that’s maybe the reason that while I really, really liked this movie, I didn’t love it. It sucks when hype ruins something so beautiful like this movie, but it does happen and its very difficult to control your expectations. But even though it didn’t particularly touch me, the movie is amazing! The cinematography is perfect, the characters are funny in their unique ways, and the tone of the movie is just lovely.

Le Couperet (The Ax)

The movie tells the tale of a men that loses this job and after 2 years and a half of unemployment, decides to take matters into his on hands and starts to, literally, eliminate the competition. The premise is very interesting but the execution fails a bit for me. Everyone in this movie seems weirdly alarmed by the tiniest things, and the way he goes about eliminating his adversaries is not exactly believable.

127 Hours

An amazing movie that very deservedly got 6 nominations in this year’s Oscar Awards. Everyone reading this probably already know that the movie tells the real life story of a climber that got trapped with his arm under a rock for 127 hours. The movie takes place almost entirely in one location and with one actor, and it never, never gets boring. James Franco gives the performance of his career here, commanding the screen the whole time, and switching between funny, resigned, sad, desperate, exhausted and crazy effortlessly. This pretty much goes without saying but Danny Boyle delivered again in this film, managing to shoot every inch of those rocks, in pretty much every way possible, and making it look gorgeous. Also, I loved the soundtrack by A.R. Rahman. it’s very different from his work in Slumdog Millionaire, of course, but just as good.

Let Me In

I went to see this movie with a totally wrong mindset and maybe that’s the reason i didn’t enjoy it as much as I could’ve. I was expecting a very scary movie, the kind that makes you jump out of your seat and stuff, and that’s not it, at all. Well at least, not for me, people are scared by different things, right? But the weird thing is that I usually prefer calmer, more psychological horror films, like this one, but because I thought it would be a movie in the “scary” genre I was expecting something to jump out in front of me the whole time, and that never happened. But leaving that aside, this remake of the Swedish “Let the Right One In” is very good, and does an amazing job of portraying the deeply disturbing relationship between a kid and a “thing”. Both Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee are incredible child actors and totally carry this movie. I strongly recommend this one for those who like alternative horror.

Mary And Max

A wonderful movie and very sad one two, about an Aspie man and a lonely girl who become pen pals and discover the world, in their very particular way. The movie is an stunning observation on childhood, mental illness, and most of all, friendship, in all of its shapes and sizes. The movie is not pretty in the usual way, but it finds the beauty in things and people that nobody wants around. In things that we try to run away from, and bury deep down in ourselves. Maybe this movie will not touch you so deeply if you had the perfect childhood, if you’re never bullied in school, and if you never dreamt about imaginary friends, but I think it’s an obligatory movie for every outcast.

Você conhece milhares de pessoas e nenhuma te toca. Aí você conhece uma delas e ela muda sua vida.

(Contém pequenos spoilers) Sim, a citação acima é sobre pessoas, mas eu poderia dizer quase a mesma coisa sobre filmes. Claro, poucos filmes realmente mudam a sua vida, mas eu sempre achei interessante como alguns filmes, as vezes até mesmo filmes muito bons, não mexem nem um pouco comigo, e outros filmes, que as vezes são cheios de falhas, podem me marcar, de verdade.

Amor e Outras Drogas (em cartaz nesse momento) é um desses filmes com algumas falhas, mas que eu provavelmente vou lembrar pra sempre. Sim, o filme acaba caindo em alguns clichês, e alguns personagens poderiam ter sido eliminados, mas o que fez o filme funcionar pra mim foi o relacionamento de Jamie e Maggie, brilhantemente interpretados por Jake Gyllenhaal e Anne Hathaway. E apesar de eu ser super fã da Anne desde O Diário da Princesa, eu sempre achei que o Jake era meio… Vazio, sabe? E por mais que isso funcionasse pra alguns personagens, como em Donnie Darko, eu me surpreendi com a performance dele nesse filme, onde ele tinha que ser totalmente carismático, desde a primeira cena do filme.

Mas como eu disse, a essência do filme é o relacionamento dos dois, e todas as pequenas coisas que fazem tudo parecer tão real. Eu sempre tenho dificuldades pra me envolver com romances em filmes, mas aqui tudo fluiu tão naturalmente… O filme conseguiu lidar muito bem com a parte do Parkinson. Não trivializou a doença, e mostrou um lado bem feio e doloroso, mas ao mesmo tempo não explorou o assunto apenas para conseguir lágrimas baratas da audiência.  A doença foi tratada como um fato da vida, e eu achei interessante ver como os dois lidaram com ela de maneiras diferentes.

E além do retrato vívido e verdadeiro de uma relação, o filme também nos mostra um pouco dos bastidores da indústria farmacêutica, e apesar desse não ser um assunto particularmente interessante pra mim, essa parte da história é retratada de um jeito tão alegre e quase juvenil, que é difícil não vibrar quando o Viagra é lançado, por exemplo.

Mas, por mais que eu tenha amado o filme, não posso deixar de falar da parte mais irritante: o irmão do Jamie! O personagem parece ter caído de para-quedas na história, provavelmente vindo de um filme bem diferente. Todo o humor ao redor dele é exagerado, e isso inclui a piadinha bem cansada sobre tomar um Viagra e não conseguir acabar com a ereção.

A reação da audiência americana não foi muito positiva pra esse filme, e sinceramente isso me surpreende um pouco. Algumas pessoas reclamaram que o filme tem muita nudez, e eu geralmente sou uma das primeiras a reclamar de nudez gratuita, mas nesse filme eu achei que a nudez serviu a história, e acontece de forma bem normal, afinal casais ficam nus, né! Eu também acho que as mudanças de tom ao longo do filme podem ter confundido algumas pessoas, mas pra mim fez o filme parecer mais real, afinal a vida é assim. As vezes é engraçada, as vezes triste, as vezes frustrante, e de repente, emocionante…

No fim, eu não nego que o filme tem suas falhas, e talvez elas acabem com o filme pra você, mas pra mim foi uma ótima experiência fílmica. E se você, como eu, gosta dos atores e não tem medo do lado mais complicado e nem tão bonito das relações humanas, talvez esse seja um filme maravilhoso pra você também. Trailer do filme:

You meet thousands of people and none of them really touch you. And then you meet that one person and your life is changed.

(Mild spoilers ahead) Yes, the quote above is about people, but I could say the same things about movies. I mean sure, very few movies actually change your life, but I have always found interesting how some movies, some very good movies, can leave me totally untouched, and then other movies, sometimes even flawed movies, can really touch me.

Love and Other Drugs is one of these flawed films that really moved me. Yes, it is a bit clichéd, and some characthers could’ve been written off, but what made this movie really work for me was the relationship between Jamie and Maggie, brilliantly played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. And even though I have been a fan of Miss Hathaway since Princess Diaries, I always thought that Jake was a bit… How can I put this… Empty, you know? A little blank. And even though that worked for him in some movies, like Donnie Darko, I was really blown away by his performance on this movie, where he had to be a bit more charismatic, and he totally pulled off, from the very first scene in the movie.

But like I said, the real star of this movie is their relationship, and all the tiny little things that make the whole thing seem so real. I always have a hard time buying into romance in movies, but here everything felt so natural, and so normal. I really thought that the movie dealt with Parkinson’s disease very well, and did not shy away from some ugly truths, that could’ve been glossed over in lesser movies. And I also didn’t feel like they used the disease to get some cheap emotional reaction, but instead handled it in a very blunt, matter-of-factly way.

And on top of the very raw and real relationship stuff, we still have a look at the behind the scenes of the pharmaceutical industry, which is not pretty sight, off course, but it’s shot in such a sleek and joyful way, that it hard not to feel excited when Viagra is finally released.

Now, for the thing I didn’t like. Jamie’s brother totally belongs in another movie. Seriously! not only did they not looked one bit like they could be brothers, but the humor surrounding him was way too broad, and that includes the cheap, very, very, very done joke about taking viagra and having an erection for hours.

The reaction to this movie has not been very positive, and I’m a bit puzzled by that. Some people complain that there’s just way to much nudity, and honestly, most of the time I am one of these people complaining about unnecessary nudity in film, but here I thought that every moment was earned, and it just felt like they were a real couple, who you know, gets nude! Also I guess the shift in tone throughout the movie might have confused some people, but I also believe that this added realism to movie, because this is how life is! Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes sad, sometimes frustrating and then exhilarating…

In the end the movie does has it’s flaws, and those might ruin the entire thing for you, but for me it was a very worthwhile filmic experience. And if you like the actors and is not afraid of the not so pretty side of human relationships it might be an awesome film for you too. A teaser for the movie:

Oi gente! Sem post de make hoje porque segunda eu fui pra praia e hoje eu estava tão atrasada pra gravação que acabei fazendo uma maquiagem mega simples e sem graça, nada que valesse a pena fotografar. Eu queria ter fotos da gravação, mas tava sem minha câmera (fora que, mesmo que eu tivesse, provavelmente não teria tempo de tirar foto alguma) e ninguém me passou as fotos ainda. E falando na gravação, a coisa toda foi INSANA! As coisa já estavam bem complicadas na pré-produção, porque como eu disse no post anterior, o Diretor de Arte resolveu desaparecer na última horas e o figurino era extremamente importante pro filme. Então todo mundo tava que nem barata tonta, tentando comprar as coisas na última hora, costurando, e revirando guarda roupas próprios e da família pra ver se achava algo que servisse.  E aí, como se isso não fosse suficiente, as 7 horas da noite de segunda a Rebeca (produção) me liga dizendo que o nosso ator, que tinha testando e assumido o compromisso com a gente meses atrás, que todo mundo tinha amado e que tinha uma química maravilhosa com  atriz, tinha desistido de fazer o curta. Basicamente, ele conseguiu um trabalho remunerado no mesmo dia e por isso deu pra trás. Olha eu até entendo, todo mundo gosta de ser pago, mas ele sabia que não ia rolar cachê desde o início, assumiu um compromisso com a gente e só foi avisar que não podia HORAS antes da gravação. isso não se faz né! Graças a Deus o nosso professor conseguiu arranjar um ator de última hora, e ele foi muito bem.

Mas, é claro que essa não seria a única surpresa, né. Seria fácil demais! Apesar do nosso curta ter apenas uns 4 min a gente tinha achado melhor filmar em dois dias, porque era o primeiro filme de todo mundo e tínhamos que filmar muitos planos. Então, quando eu chego no cinema Nosso pra filmar a primeira notícia que recebo é que o nosso professor tinha machucado o outro pé  (porque ele já estava com um pé machucado), e nós teríamos que filmar tudo em um dia, porque na quinta ele já estaria em licença médica. Imaginem o meu nível de stress!

Mas até que as coisas acabaram indo bem, principalmente com tantos imprevistos. No fim da gravação eu estava exausta e sem voz, e nós tivemos que cortar uma ceninha, mas conseguimos filmar tudo e acho que o filme vai sair ok. Claro que poderia ter ficado melhor, com mais tempo, etc, mas pra um primeiro filme acho que vai ser bom o bastante, e mesmo que no final o filme fique horrível, tudo valeu a pena, apenas pela experiência.

E como eu disse, segunda fui a praia, e foi perfeito! Eu amo praia e já visitei algumas pelo Brasil afora, mas a minha favorita é a Prainha. Se você não é do Rio e vier visitar eu recomendo muito! É claro que Ipanema e Copacabana que ficam famosas, e são praias maravilhosas pra andar no final da tarde, tomar uma água de coco na orla, ou andar de bicicleta, mas como praia, pra entrar na água e tal? Elas são meio ruinzinhas. Estão sempre lotadas, nem são tão bonitas assim, e geralmente a correnteza puxa muito, então não dá pra você ficar na água relaxando.

Já a Prainha é uma praia mais afastada, dentro de uma reserva, raramente está lotada e você ainda tem uma vegetação linda em volta. E se você atravessar a rua ainda tem um parque onde dá pra fazer trilha, tomar uma ducha de água doce e ir no banheiro de graça!

Hi guys! No make-up post today because Monday I was at the beach and today was the shoot for my short and I was so late that I only did a really simple makeup, nothing worth photographing. I wish I had the photos from the shoot, but I didn’t have my camera and so far no one has posted the photos online.  As for the shoot itself it was CRAZY, even crazier that I thought it would be. Things were already pretty hectic in pre-production because, like I said in the previous post, our Art Director decided to vanish from the earth and the costumes were extremely important for this short. So everyone was running around, trying to buy things at the last minute, sewing, and going trough our own closets to see if we could find anything for the movie. Then, at 7pm Monday, one day before the shoot, the girl who was responsible for production calls me and says that our actor, the one we had tested months before, that we had loved and had perfect chemistry with our actress wasn’t going to do the short anymore. Basically, he got a paying gig, and preferred to do that. Now, I understand the need for money, but to cancel HOURS before the shoot was a pretty ugly thing to do. Thankfully, our teacher knew another actor and he could fill in.

But that was not the only surprise we had. even tough the short is only about 4 min (and maybe not even that long) we had scheduled two days for shooting, because it was everyone’s first movie, and we had a lot cuts, etc. But as I arrived t Cinema Nosso to shoot, the first thing my fellow director tells me is that our teacher has hurt his other leg (because one was already hurt) and that we had to shoot the whole thing in one day because he would take a medical leave, and couldn’t be present at the other day of shooting. Imagine how stressed out I was!

But thanks god everything went fairly well, I was exhausted at the end and we had to cut a small scene, but we got everything done, and I think the short will turn out ok. It could’ve been better of course, if we had more time, but it’s or first movie, and it was an awesome experience even if the resulting film turns out to be crappy.

And like I said, Monday I went to the beach, and it was just awesome. It’s a beach called “Prainha” (little beach), and it’s my favorite beach in Rio, by far! If one of you guys ever come to Rio I would strongly recommend! Copacabana and Ipanema get all the name recognition, and are lovely for a walk in the  afternoon, or to ride a bike, but as actual beaches they kinda suck. They are always super packed, the food is very expensive, and this part is kind of difficult to explain but they are not the kind of beaches you can stay in the water for a long time, because you have to constantly “fight” the sea.

But Prainha is just perfect! The water is the right temperature, you don’t have to fight the waves, it’s not as packed (because you can’t get there using public transportation), and you have a lot of beautiful green around you! And if you cross the street you can visit a beautiful park.  it doesn’t get a lot better than that!

So, how has been your week so far?

Hoje me reuni com os outros dois diretores do curta pra fazer os últimos ajustes de planos, decidir  ordem de filmagem e conversar um pouco sobre os personagens. A conversa como sempre fluiu muito bem, e conseguimos resolver tudo. O interessante é que quando o professor me disse que eu teria que dirigir o curta com mais duas pessoas eu não fiquei muito feliz, até porque eu não conhecia o Rodrigo e o Wesley muito bem e já tinha pensado no filme inteiro nos meus termos, assim como eles. Mas quando finalmente nos reunimos pra fazer a primeira decoupage (essa não é a de guardanapos, significa escolher os planos do filme) foi tudo muito natural, não teve problema de ego, ninguém tentou afirmar a SUA visão pro filme e tal. Nós três conversamos muito e sempre chegávamos a uma escolha lógica pra cada plano, foi um processo muito legal. Fora que é bom ter alguém pra dividir a responsabilidade.

A gente vai filmar na terça e na quinta, e por mais que eu esteja muito ansiosa e louca pra ver como o filme vai ficar montadinho, também to morrendo de medo de tudo dar errado na terça, de ninguém vir, de faltar figurino, de a gente ter esquecido algo, enfim, imprevistos! Eu posso falar pelo departamento de direção que nós nos preparamos o máximo possível. Espero que tudo dê certo nos outros departamentos também.

Quanto ao look, apesar de não ter ficado horroroso nem nada, foi um certo fail. Eu estava tentando fazer um posicionamento de sombras um pouco diferente do que eu sempre faço, mas como estava fazendo a maquiagem no ônibus, pra variar, não deu muito certo. Além disso eu não lembrava que a Knickers In A Twist e a Ashes ficavam tão parecidas em mim. Isso também dificultou a idéia um pouco. E hoje só tem olhos porque resolvi fazer a minha sobrancelha e buço na cera e o meu rosto deu chilique! To cheia de bolinhas. Tá ficando difícil viu, qualquer coisa que eu faço pra remover pelos me dá algum tipo de reação adversa. Não sei mais o que fazer!

Today I had my last meeting with my fellow co-directors before the shoot. We wanted to meet to review some shots, setup the shot order and talk a little bit about the characters. The meeting went very well, and we managed to get everything we needed done, and faster than the last time. The interesting thing is that when my teacher told me I would have to co-direct with 2 other boys I was not exactly pleased. I didn’t know them very well, and I already had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted for the movie, as did they.  But when we finally got to discuss the movie shot by shot for the first time the whole thing just flowed. There were no egos clashing and nobody was imposing anything. We just talked, talked, and talked about the movie till we came up with the shots that made most sense to all three of us. It was an amazing process, and even tough I have created in a group setting before it was pretty different from anything I had experienced. Also, since this is our first time, it’s nice to have someone to share responsibilities with.

We will shoot on Tuesday and Thursday, and even though I’m super psyched and cannot wait to see the movie done, I’m also super scared that something will go horribly wrong on Tuesday, that people will not arrive on time, that the costumes might not be ready in time, that we forgot to prepare something important, that the aliens choose to invade earth on that exact day, you know, this kind of thing. I know that me and the other directors did everything we could do to prepare, and that calms me a little, but unfortunately the art director decided to disappear and now everyone is running around trying to cover his part of the work.

As for the eyes, even though they don’t look horrible or anything, this one was kind of a fail for me. I was trying something different with the shadow placement, but because I was doing my makeup on the bus, again, I kind of messed everything up. Also I didn’t remember that Knickers In A Twist and Ashes looked so similar on me, and that also did not help. No face photo today because I decided to have my brows and upper lip waxed and my face totally freaked out! Yeah, now everything I try to do to remove hair from face causes some weird reaction. I don’t know what to do anymore, seriously!

Fazia tempo que eu não tentava um look com tantas cores porque eu sempre acabava fazendo uma zona, nunca conseguia que as cores ficassem no lugar que eu queria, e sempre acabava mega frustrada. Mas ultimamente acho que melhorei um pouquinho no manuseio dos pincéis, então resolvi tentar uma coisa mais arco-íris e fiquei bem satisfeita com o resultado. Como sempre só consegui tirar as fotos quando cheguei em casa (eu quase sempre faço parte da maquiagem no carro, vivo atrasada!), mas as cores ainda estão bem vibrantes!

It’s been sometime since I’ve tried a rainbow look because most of the times I tried I would just get eyeshadow everywhere but the place I meant it to be, and  would just end up totally frustated. But I noticed that my skills have been getting better, so I decided I should try it, and I was mostly pleased with the result. As always this photo was taken after I came home (I’m always in a hurry so I finish my makeup in the car), but it’s still pretty bright.

Eu já fiz um “olho” parecido com  esse há algum tempo atrás, mas eu simplesmente amo essa combinação de cores em mim. Eu tirei essas fotos depois que eu voltei de casa, aproximadamente 9 horas depois de me maquiar, e por isso a coisa não tá perfeita. Mas pra 9 horas, acho que a maquiagem sobreviveu bem né? Principalmente no verão lazarento aqui do Rio.

I’ve done a similar look to this one before but I just love the way these colours look on me, I can’t help it! Note that I took this pictures after I came home, about 9 hours after I had done my face. Obviously my nose is a bit shiny, especially considering that we are in the middle of a particularly hot summer here, but as always Pixie Epoxy worked its magic and made my eyes look pretty good, even after so much time.

Voltei! Não que eu ache que alguém tenha sentido muita saudades desse blog que durou tão pouco tempo, mas enfim, resolvi voltar a blogar! Quanto tempo a vontade vai durar eu não sei, mas se Deus quiser esse ano eu vou até o fim com a vida bloguística.

Ainda estou de férias na faculdade e devo ficar até o início de março, mas não estou de férias no meu curso de cinema, e é disso que falarei hoje! Esse ano não foi dos melhores e se pudesse faria várias coisas de forma diferente, mas uma coisa boa que saiu das minhas mancadas foi o curso de Cinema que estou fazendo no Cinema Nosso.

O Cinema Nosso (antigo Nós do Cinema) é uma ong do Rio de Janeiro que promove educação na área cinematográfica para jovens entre 15 e 30 anos. Eles tem um curso regular (o que eu estou fazendo), várias oficinas, maratonas e um cine-clube que exibe longas e curtas toda semana. Tudo de graça! E não pense que por ser gratuito a coisa é feita de qualquer jeito, todos os professores são sérios e exigem a mesma seriedade da turma, afinal apesar de ser gratuito alguém investiu na gente, e temos que fazer valer o investimento!

O curso regular é divido em três módulos (básico, intermediário e avançado) cada um durando mais ou menos 4 meses. Eu estou fazendo o modulo básico, um módulo bastante generalista, que visa apresentar cada área da produção cinematográfica, pra que então a gente possa escolher qual gostamos mais. Tivemos aulas sobre roteiro, direção, fotografia, direção de arte, som, história do cinema, etc. O objetivo do módulo é produzir um curta metragem, com a participação de todos os alunos. Apesar de sermos divididos em departamentos (eu to na direção, com mais dois meninos) o processo é bem democrático, e todo mundo tem direito de participar de todas as etapas.

No momento estamos no final da pré-produção do curta, já escolhemos os atores, e no momento estamos fazendo teste de planos, fotografia, direção de arte, etc. Dá muito mais trabalho do que eu imaginava, mesmo para um curta mega curto (5 min) como o nosso, mas por enquanto tá valendo a pena. Nesses poucos meses aprendi mais sobre cinema do que na minha vida inteira, e o mais importante: conheci pessoas maravilhosas, que estão fazendo todo o trabalho muito mais divertido! Tenho Visto (Cinema)

Não Me Abandone Jamais / Never Let Me Go

Meu filme favorito do ano, fácil e um filme que qualquer apaixonado por cinema deveria assistir. O que se vê na tela é a perfeita fusão da história de Kazuo Ishiguro, com o roteiro maravilhosamente sutil de Alex Garland, a fotografia de tirar o fôlego de Adam Kimmel e a direção clássica de Mark Romanek. Isso sem contar com as performances de Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield e Keira Knightley. Quanto à história propriamente dita, quanto menos você souber, melhor, mas posso dizer que é um filme e de ficção científica, que parece com um filme de época e na verdade é um filme sobre amor e amizade. Pra quem não se importar de saber um pouco mais, assistam o trailer, que também é maravilhoso:

Tenho Visto (TV)

The Walking Dead

Eu sei que a temporada já terminou faz tempo, mas acabei de assisti-la agora. Só esse fato já mostra que não me empolguei tanto com a série quanto imaginava, mas no final até que acabei gostando. Talvez por não ser muito fã de zumbis, a série demorou pra “pegar no tranco” pra mim. A fotografia é maravilhosa, como em todas as séries da AMC, e os zumbis são mais bem feitos do que em muitos filmes, mas pra mim faltou algo na construção dos personagens. Não que eu odeio algum deles longe disso, mas também não amo, e a série toda acabou ficando no mais ou menos pra mim. Mas pretendo continuar assistindo, e espero que com uma segunda temporada maior eles tenham mais tempo pra aprofundar os personagens.

Tenho Ouvido

Como eu disse, Never Let Me Go foi o filme do ano pra mim e após assistí-lo 2 vezes entrei em imersão total. Comecei a ouvir a trilha sonora sem parar e resolvi ler o livro, no qual o filme é baseado. Eu não costumo ouvir trilhas sonoras, ainda mais trilhas instrumentais, mas essa é muito bonita e servi perfeitamente como ambientação sonora enquanto eu lia o livro. Achei que depois que eu terminasse a leitura nem ouviria tanto, por ser instrumental, mas doce ilusão, o vício continuou e ainda não dá sinais de que vai embora tão cedo!

Bem gente, é isso, espero que eu consiga manter uma certa frequência de posts aqui no blog nesse ano. Ah, e também queria dizer que esse post foi em parte inspirado pelo fato do Paulo Fiaes, do My Craps, ter voltado a blogar também! Espero que nós dois sejamos mais constantes esse ano.

I’m back! Not that I thought that anyone missed this blog, but I decided to brig it back anyway. I don’t know if this time my blogging will last but I sure hope so!

I’m still on vacation from college, and I’ll probably be free till march, but I’m still busy doing a film course and that’s the main topic of today’s post. This year was not amongst my best, but if there’s one good thing that came out of so much wrong, that thing was me starting to study film at Cinema Nosso.

Cinema Nosso (previously known as “Nós do Cinema”) is a NGO based on Rio de Janeiro that promotes film education amongst the youth. They have a regular course (the one I’m taking), workshops, and an cine-club that projects features and shorts every week. And all that for free! And don’t think that just because we don’t have to pay they are less serious about our education, the teachers are pretty good, and the work we do, pretty demanding. After all, someone invested in us, and I feel we have the responsibility to take the course seriously.

The regular course is divided in three modules (basic, intermediate, advanced), each one lasting about 4 months. I’m still on basic, where they use a  very generalized approach, teaching us about every film department, so we can pick the one we like best, and would like to develop in the next modules. We had classes about screenplay writing, directing, cinematography, art direction, sound, film history, etc. The main objective of the basic module is to produce a short, at end of it, with the students as the crew. The process is very democratic, and even though we are divided in departments (I’m co-directing with two boys), everyone gets to give their opinion in pretty much everything.

At the moment we are at the end of pre-production. We’ve already picked the actors, and right now we’re testing the cameras, photography, art direction, stuff like that. It’s a lot more work that I thought, even for a very short short (5min) like ours, but it’s still a lot of fun. In just a few months I have learned more about movies than in my entire life, and the most important: I’ve met the most amazing, funny, intelligent people that make the giant amount of work a lot easier. I’ve been watching (Movies)

Não Me Abandone Jamais / Never Let Me Go

My favorite movie of the year, hands down, and something every movie lover should watch. What you see on the screen is a perfect fusion between Kazuo Ishiguro’s beautiful story, the amazingly subtle screenplay by Alex Garland, Adam Kimmel’s breathtaking cinematography and the classic direction by Mark Romanek. And of course the extremely nuanced performances by Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley. As forthe plot, it’s the less you know, the better, but I can tell you that it is a sci-fi movie, that looks like an period piece, but it is really an film about love and friendship, and how those lines are sometimes very blurred. And for those of you that just HAVE to know more, here’s the trailer:

I’ve been watching (TV)

The Walking Dead

I know the season ended a long time ago, but I’ve only got around to finish watching it yesterday. And that pretty much reflects my lack of excitement with this show. It’s not that I hate it, but I don’t love it either and I certainly don’t think it deserves the awards it has been nominated to. Maybe it’s because I’m not a fan of zombies, in particular, but the show really took a while to hook me, and I think the problem lies with the characters. The cinematography is gorgeous, like in every AMC series, and the zombies look better than in a lot of movies, but the characters are very flat and bland to me. I will continue to watch tough, and I hope that next season, with the extra episodes, they really find the time to dig into those people.

I’ve been listening to

Like I said, Never Let Me Go was the movie of the year and after watching it twice I went into full immersion mode, and started listening to the soundtrack, while I read the book, in which the movie was based. I don’t listen to soundtracks very often, specially when they are instrumental, but this one is so beautiful and was such the perfect thing to listen while reading the book that I could not resist. I even thought the love story would end when I finished the book, but our relationship is still pretty strong!

Well, this is it people, and I hope I can keep posting regularly this year. Oh, I would also like to mention that this post was partly inspired by the fact that my friend Paulo Fiaes from My Craps is also blogging again. I hope we are both more consistent this year.

Hoje vai ser uma review super rápida porque eu tenho que ir viajar!

Da primeira vez que vi essa coreografia (ao vivo, em uma tela pequena e travando) achei bem mais ou menos, mas assistindo de novo até que gostei bastante de alguns elementos. Não foi uma das melhores da Mia, mas até que eu gostei.

Quanto ao bottom 3 fiquei bem surpresa, tava bem certa de que ia ser Robert e Adéchiké. Sinceramente não sei o que tava passando na cabeça das pessoas, já que o Billy e Ashley tiveram noites muito boas. Mas pelo menos o Robert não foi pro bottom e eu e minha mãe provavelmente acordamos metade da vizinhança com os gritos de comemoração. Parece que tudo que os jurados falram fez efeito.

Ver a Anya e o Pasa dançando foi maravilhoso, é claro, aidna mais depois de descobrir que eles nunca dançaram juntos na temporada deles. E por isso tivemos uma coreografia inédita, ao invés do replay do Mark e da Courtney na semana passada. Como já disse, eu prefiro assim.

A apresentação do elenco de In the Heights foi legal, não foi maravilhosa, mas foi bem legal. Fora que foi bem interessante ver o “Alvie” de House como ator da Broadway. Quem diria que o cara é tão talentoso?

O solo da Ashley foi meio desesperado pra mim. Ela com certeza estava dançando pela vida, mas não do jeito certo.

O solo do Billy foi bom como sempre. Ele já teve melhores, mas ultimamente gosto tanto de ver o Billy dançando que acho que conseguiria assisti-lo por horas.

Eu não sou muito fã da Natasha Bedingfield, mas foi bom porque mais uma vez os all-stars participam. Eu sou totalmente a favor de meter os all-stars em todos os lugares possíveis, então eu adorei.

Essa parte foi tão triste que eu não queria nem comentar. Logo depois de uma semana perfeita acontece isso… Espero que tudo corra bem e ele logo logo volte a dançar.

Lauren e Pasha

Acho que qualquer comentário de que a Lauren não era sexy o suficiente morreu neste momento! Finalmente alguém (sem ser a Anya, é claro) conseguiu dançar à altura do Pasha. Claro ela não foi perfeita tecnicamente, mas depois de ver tanta gente massacrando a dança de salão nessa temporada foi um ótimo refresco. Ela se entregou totalmente nessa coreografia, e pra mim isso é um dos principais fatores em fazer com que a dança seja memorável.

Jose e Lauren

Mais uma vez Jose participou de um lindo solo assistido. Sério gente, tá ficando ridículo. Tente encontrar quantos movimentos de contemporâneo o Jose executa nessa coreografia. Tem aquela vez que ele levanta com os pés em ponta, yay! E depois tem uma parte com os braços e tal, mais pro fim da coreografia, mas é basicamente isso. O resto do tempo ele faz movimentos de break e serve de apoio pra Lauren. E depois disso os 3 jurados vão e discorrem sobre o quanto ele é inspirador. Seriously? Todo mundo ganha uma crítica, mesmo quem foi MUITO bem e o Jose é que é inspirador. Nem uma críticazinha? Olha, o meu problema não é com os jurados criticando as outras pessoas. Eles estão ali pra isso e quando as críticas são construtivas, ajudam muito. O meu problema é com a total falta de críticas ao Jose. Ano passado o Nigel reclamou na segunda semana que os coreógrafos botavam muitos pulos nas coreografia do Jacob porque ele pulava maravilhosamente bem, mas ele não reparou que TODAS as coreografias do Jose tem movimentos de break? Sério? Até a coreografia dele de salão teve movimentos inspirados no hip-hop!!!! Sério, isso já passou do ridículo pra mim.

Kent e Comfort

Dave Scott tá me decepcionando nessa temporada. Não que eu tenha odiado a coreografia ou algo do tipo, mas pra mim isso foi jazz-hop ou algo do tipo. Podia até ter ficado legal se fossem dois dançarinos de hip-hop dançando (imagina só o Ivan no lugar do Kent), mas como era o Kent ficou ainda mais jazz, e não funcionou nem um pouco pra mim. Ainda estou esperando algo parecido com isso Dave Scott, já tá na hora!

AdéChiké e Courtney

Estou totalmente com o Nigel nessa aqui. Foi a primeira vez que realmente gostei do Adéchiké e senti a personalidade dele não só em termos de atuação mas também através dos movimentos. Além disso gostei bastante da coreografia da Mandy, foi beeem jazz o que ultimamente não é muito comum no SYTYCD.  Foi uma coreografia contida, mas ainda assim interessante.

Billy e Katee

Duas semanas inteirinhas sem o Tyce, acho que vou chorar! (de alegria é claro) E além disso também temos Katee de volta, e uma coreografia bem competente e divertida. Eu não sie o que está acontecendo esse ano, mas de repente Broadway ficou tão melhor! Claro que depois de anos odiando Broadway com todas as minhas forças as minhas expectativas são sempre as menores possíveis, mas ainda assim a melhora é visível nessa temporada. E o Billy e a Katee foram perfeitos pra essa coreografia, até melhor do que seria o Billy com a Allisson, acho eu. Mas quero deixar claro que eu AMO a Allisson e espero que ela melhore logo!

Ashley e Dominic

Primeira vez que a Ashley me faz sentir alguma coisa! Claro que essa coreografia não foi do nível d do Alex e do Twitch semana passada, mas NappyTabs arrasaram mais uma vez com uma coreografia mega divertida. E tenho que dizer que a Ashley me surpreendeu bastante. Nunca imaginei que ela conseguisse ir tão bem no hip-hop. Como a Mia disse, ela dançou hard-core, teve uma ótima sincronia e química com o Dominic, e ao contrário do que a Mia disse até teve alguns momentos de olhar 43, principalmente no final bem antes dela fazer aquela abertura incrivelmente dolorsa (acredito eu).  Parece que pelo menos essas duas meninas estão aqui pra ficar.

Robert e Kathryn

Acho que todo mundo sabe que eu AMO o Robert e fiquei muito feliz dos jurados terem falado tão bem dele, mas ele não foi tão bem nessa aqui. Grande parte do problema pra mim foi o jeito que a coreografia foi estruturada, e a música também não ajudou nem um pouco, achei que não tinha nada a ver com o conceito da coreografia. E é claro, como a Kathryn até disse no twitter dela, ela errou um dos passos mais importantes, mas ainda assim o Robert teve alguns momentos em que parecia meio inseguro, o que geralmente não acontece com ele.

Adéchiké e Assistente

Eu até concordo com o Nigel que ele precisava ser mais precioso nos movimentos, principalmente com os braços, e até concordo com a Mia que puxou um pouco mais pro africano (ou baiano, início parecia Timbalada), mas ainda assim A-MEI quando a Cat fez aquele comentário e amei mais ainda quando o Nakul não só fez uma cara de “Oh, snap!” mas também levantou e disse “Thank you” (ele deve ter sofrido com o Jose, tadinho). Eu não achei que eu podia amar a Cat mais do que eu já amo, mas ela só se supera. E sinceramente essas falhas do Adéchiké, pra mim foram bem pequenas e gostei muito de vê-lo dançando Bollywood. Pena que justo na semana que eu começo a gostar do menino, os jurados resolvem pegar no pé dele.

Lauren e Kent

Sem palavras pra essa aqui, Travis arrasou mais uma vez. O que sempre me impressiona nas coreografias do Travis é como ele consegue criar movimentos completamente inusitados. Ninguém nunca vai simplesmente de A para B nas coreografias dele, as transições são sempre complexas e inéditas. E claro, ter um coreógrafo brilhante ajuda, mas o Kent e a Lauren também foram perfeitos, não só tecnicamente, mas também emocionalmente, o que era essencial nessa coreografia. Essa é daquelas pra assistir muitas e muitas vezes.

Robert e Ashley

Oh my god, quando vi que os dois tinham pego quickstep já antecipei os desastre, mas até que não foi horroroso. Claro, foi um quickstep um tanto lento, mas achei que tirando as partes “puladas” eles se saíram bem, ou como a Mia disse, sobreviveram. Mas tenho medo que esse seja realmente o “kiss of death” pro Robert.

Billy e Jose

E finalmente os jurados criticam o Jose por alguma coisa! Também depois daquele fora da Cat… Mas como os jurados disseram, faltou um pouco de agressividade, por parte dos dois, mas pelo menos o Billy compensou com a sua flexibilidade sobrenatural. Sério gente, eu não conseguia tirar os olhos do Billy e suas pernas de borracha nessa coreografia, foi impressionante!

Como eu disse no início eu to amando essa temporada, e pra mim é facilmente a melhor desde a quarta temporada. Eu digo isso porque comecei a assistir na quarta (mais vi a 2ª e a terceira quase inteiras através do youtube e da tv a cabo) e é a minha temporada favorita. Claro que na 5ª e na 6ª eu gostava de alguns dançarinos, individualmente, mas como grupo a coisa sempre era meio sem sal. Desde a quarta temporada que eu não gosto de tantos dançarinos ao mesmo tempo. Tirando o Jose (que eu até gosto como pessoa) são todos dançarinos maravilhosos e que aos poucos estão mostrando que tem personalidade. Claro que o fato de só terem 11 deles ajudou muito, mas não como negar a qualidade dos dançarinos dessa temporada.

A única coisa que está impedindo essa temporada de se tornar perfeita, pra mim, são os jurados. Eu sempre gostei da Mia como jurada, mas agora percebo que ela é melhor em pequenas doses, e o Adam que eu gostei tanto na temporada passada, tá mega apagado nessa temporada e basicamente virou um rec-repete de tudo que falam antes dele. Ou então ele dá uns conselhos que muitas vezes parecem sem sentido. Quem diria que o meu jurado preferido da temporada seria justamente o Nasty Nigel (tirando os elogios sem noção ao Jose é claro), que pelo menos continua tão sem noção como sempre foi. E é claro, eu sinto falta da Mary, principalmente nas críticas de dança de salão. E vocês, o que estão achando?

Eu sei que praticamente todo mundo achou a coreografia de grupo meio fraquinha mas eu até que gostei. CLaro, se eu pudesse banir O Fortuna do SYTYCD baniria fácil, ma ainda acho melhor usá-la assim do que em um paso doble, que é onde geralmente usam. Claro, que a coreografia não foi tão grandiosa quanto a música, mas eu gostei. E não deixei de reparar que, mais uma vez, a Ashley foi solista por grande parte da apresentação. Semana passada ela fez par com o Robert, e dessa vez com o Alex. Aliás o Robert e a Lauren também começaram destacados, mas o momento deles foi bem mais curto.

É óbvio que eu adorei a idéia de relembrar a passagem dos all stars pelo programa, e claro que não fiquei nem um pouco triste de ver o Mark e a Courtney dançando The Garden mais uma vez, mas se eu pudesse escolher preferia vê-los dançando algo inédito e não uma coreografia que eu já vi zilhões de vezes o youtube. Mas tenho que dizer que eles arrasaram, dá pra ver que os dois melhoraram muito entre a temporada deles e essa. Eu só queria saber o que vai acontecer quando chegarem em all stars que não tem “pares” da sua própria temporada, tipo a Kathryn. Ela vai dançar um solo?

A apresentação do Circ de Soleil foi bem divertida, e me deixou com vontade de ver o número original, já que em uma entrevista NappyTabs disseram que eles tiveram que fazer diversas modificações, já que não dava pra fazer acrobacias aéreas no palco do SYTYCD. Fora que é super legal saber que coreógrafos como NappyTabs e Mandy Moore estão trabalhando pro Circ de Soleil! Sei lá, pra mim é fácil imaginar o Wade fazendo isso, mas eles três eu nunca imaginaria.

Billy – Arrasou como sempre, e escolheu uma música linda! Acho que eu conseguiria assistir as loooongas extensões do Billy o dia inteiro. (vídeo aqui)

Robert – Pra mim os solos deles só melhoram, mas ainda acho que está faltando alguma coisa. Pelo menos desta vez ele resolveu fazer um solo mais estranho, e pra mim esse estilo combina muito com ele.

Melinda – Sem música é bem melhor, esse foi em sombra de dúvida o melhor solo dela.

Nem vou comentar a apresentação do Ne-Yo, porque só não pulei essa parte porque estava assistindo ao vivo. Geralmente eu pulo quase todas as apresentações musicais, pra mim seria muito mais legal ter 2 convidados de dança. Quando chega a hora da eliminação propriamente dita Nigel vai direto ao ponto e nem finge que os meninos estão em perigo. Afinal se eles não eliminassem a Melinda seria no mínimo ridículo. Agora na semana que vem eu sei que vou sofrer porque o Jose com certeza não via embora, mesmo que ele apareça no bottom 3, e acho que o Robert, a não ser que pegue uma coreografia espetacular semana que vem, é o próximo. Maldito público americano!

Eu fiquei na dúvida se fazia ou não uma resenha do show do Móveis, mas resenha de show é tão divertido e tão raro de se encontrar hoje em dia que resolvi fazer. Fora que é um jeito de “marcar” uma noite tão perfeita.

Show do Móveis é sempre diversão garantida pra mim e esse não foi diferente. Se você não conhece o Móveis (e acredito que muitos não conheçam) Eles são uma banda de Brasília, e tem um som bem peculiar. É uma mistura de rock, com mpb, samba, música do leste europeu, ska, e outras coisas mais. No momento eles tem 10 integrantes (não você não leu errado é isso tudo mesmo) e isso garante a festa não só na platéia mas também no palco, já que o Móveis é uma das bandas mais elétricas que eu já vi na vida!

É simplesmente o tipo de show que a banda apesar de estar a frente não é a única coisa que importa. A coisa mais legal dos shows do Móveis pra mim é o público, que responde a cada gesto ao mínimo incentivo, que canta as letras, os metais as guitarras, que imita as dancinhas do André e participa da mais roda punk que eu já vi sem causar confusão.

Mas esse show até que foi ligeiramente diferente, já que o Oi Futuro é um lugar bem pequeno e cheio de cadeiras, o que não é exatamente ideal pra um show do Móveis, mas sempre se dá um jeito. Algumas pessoas ficaram pelas cadeiras mesmo (não sei como conseguiram, mas cada um com seu cada um), e uma grande parte foi lá pra frente dançar e pular como um show do Móveis merece.

O setlist também foi um pouco diferente dos outros shows que eu fui. Talvez por ter sido menor tocaram menos músicas do C_mpl_t_, que é meu cd favorito, mas por mais que eu não goste muito de ouvir o primeiro cd (acho muuuito mal produzido), no show tudo vira festa, e sinceramente, mesmo se eu não conhecesse nenhuma música, continuaria me divertindo e MUITO!

Nesse show infelizmente não deu pra fazer a tradicional roda de Copacabana por causa do espaço (se bem que eu li que no último dia deram um jeito de fazer), mas acabamos fazendo um túnel de festa junina e foi divertido do mesmo jeito.  Sério, eu realmente acredito que o mundo seria um lugar melhor se existissem mais shows onde se pode fazer um túnel de festa junina de uma forma totalmente não irônica. Pena que não consegui nenhuma foto decente do acontecimento.

E no final rolou um flashmob fofo com balões coloridos voando por todos os lados e fechando uma noite inesquecível, como todos os shows do Móveis que eu fui até agora. Até a próxima vez, e eu com certeza estarei lá!
